Nice, simple stay
Pros:

A simple, clean property

Cons:

The a/c in the common areas was not working. (More of an issue for the employees than the guests)

The staff was great, the breakfast was good.
Pros:

The rooms were nice and the property was in a convenient location

Cons:

The indoor pool was too chlorinated and we couldn’t even go swimming. That was one of the reasons we chose this particular hotel.
One of our four rooms had a strange odor and mold was found on the ceiling in the bathroom.

OK stay
Pros:

Good location and friendly staff.

Cons:

Room had an unpleasant smell as if someone had cooked in the room. Housekeeping had to provide deoderizer for us to spay. Could also hear people above us walking around so not enough insulation in ceiling.

Horrible Stay
Pros:

This was probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and not indicative of a Hampton Inn. The young girl at the front desk never greeted us or smiled and we had to ask for our waters and what time breakfast was. Our keys did not work and we got them replaced. We went to the pool, which was green and the bottom seemed dirty.
When we went to get in the jazucci the chemical smell was so bad, it even made my
eyes burn. There were no towels in the pool area so my husband went to the front desk and they did come and replace them. We went to the room and the TV did not work,
a worker, who was very nice, fixed the problem. After we went to bed at 10:30 a couple
came to the room next door and were talking and yelling so loud for 1 1/2 hour, we
could not sleep, and someone else came in above us, but the noise didn't last long.
When we checked out the next day, the same girl was at the front desk, and my
husband mentioned the problem with the noise and she just said Oh. All the
other staff was very friendly and responsive. I do not think this hotel reflex's the
Hampton inn name. We had a wonderful Hampton Inn the next night.

We will not be staying at this hotel anytime soon.
Pros:

Breakfast was okay, nothing special.

Cons:

Went to take a shower and the shower wall came off of the bathroom wall. My girlfriend was so upset that she was afraid to take a shower.

On the return trip, no wash towels.

Very disappointed in this hotel!!

One night in Van Horn.
Pros:

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and listened to the customer. A follow up text message was a nice touch.

Cons:

The location can be a little tricky to get to, but not overly difficult.

Friendly staff, very clean facility, this is always my go to hotel on my way to and from Arizona.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Lots to choose from and very clean. Staff was very helpful and kept the area very tidy even when it was busy. The building inside and out was very clean. Pool area was clean and had towels.

Cons:

Everything was great. I cant really think of anything that this location was lacking.

Disappointing—look for other options in Van Horn
Pros:

Right off I-20 and convenient to gas and restaurants. Typical hot and cold breakfast. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The hotel is an older establishment and appears dated. The inside is being decently maintained but the outside grounds are a disaster. Overflowing garbage cans, dog excrement around the building, overgrown grass or alternately a number of dead patches of lawn surround the building. A small charcoal grill on the side of the building contained a dead snake carcass. The hotel just gives off a feeling that it is barely holding on. For one night it was ok but I’d try the other options in Van Horn before staying here again.

This place needs,to be closed for a remodel and a deep cleaning. Hilton should be ashamed of this place. To find something this low quality it usually has a 6 in the name.

Exactly what I was looking for
Pros:

Loved it neon right off the freeway and close to a lot of dinner options. Lots of parking, plus a pool available. It was clean quiet and comfortable.

So very disappointed and discount this hotel. Even our 11 year old was grossed out.
