Best stay in Siem Reap
Pros:

We had an absolutely outstanding time at the Angkor Village Hotel. The staff was super welcoming, friendly and the service impeccable. Also the associated guide (ask for Sotaea) and drivers were all formidable.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to mention here.

Angkor Village Hotel Experience
Pros:

We stayed at the Angkor Village Hotel from Jan 26 to Jan 30 in 2026. The hotel is beautiful and serene. The staff are very friendly helpful! Especially Sinan, Haei, Oussa and Linh. They helped me with my attempts to speak Khmer!
The breakfasts at the hotel were excellent and the location is very convenient for the local markets and Angkor Wat. We will stay there again!

Angkor Village Hotel was a dream come true
Pros:

The property is a gorgeous Khmer-style tropical fantasy of rich wood and greenery. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the central city and immediately adjacent to the hip little Street 26 strip. Our room had comfortable canopy beds, a view of the pool, a pleasant sitting area, and good air conditioning. Two large sliding doors opened an entire corner of the room to the terrace to enjoy the morning/evening air. The generous open-air lobby is a comfortable place to lounge and relax or socialize and enjoy a cocktail. The beautiful restaurant is also an open-air pavilion and is surrounded by a tranquil, lilly-covered pond. We enjoyed the friendly service and excellent food at breakfast every morning, as well as several other excellent meals when we didn't feel like venturing out. The staff was wonderfully kind and helpful -- among others, Leak and David saw to our every need and helped us arrange transport, tours, and other activities. We really hated to leave after being with them for a week!

Cons:

The only thing that could possibly have improved our stay is if the air conditioning was a bit quieter. Also, while the greenery is gorgeous, it obstructed the handrails on the stairs in places, making them a bit challenging for my mother to negotiate.

Pros:

The lush vegetation makes this hotel feel like a secret sanctuary away from the hustle & bustle of the town.
The restaurant was especially nice with delicious food & a good wine list!
The staff were really friendly & helpful

Cons:

A superkingsize bed would have been great - the queen size was fine though

Excellent hotel, amazing staff
Pros:

We just finished a wonderful 3-day stay at Angkor Village Hotel, and it was truly the highlight of our time in Siem Reap. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning traditional Khmer architecture and the lush, tropical gardens that make the property feel like a peaceful sanctuary. An early checkin by the hotel helped a lot
What we loved:
The Atmosphere: The 'village' layout is beautiful. It’s incredibly quiet and provides a perfect escape after a long day of exploring the temples at Angkor Wat.
Family-Friendly: Traveling with my wife and child, we found the service to be warm and incredibly attentive to our needs. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Location: It’s ideally located—close enough to the center of town for a quick tuk-tuk ride, but tucked away enough to ensure a restful night's sleep
