Breathe taking resort.

Had an absolute wonderful time....beautiful villas...rooms were great and spacious, everything was clean, the pool right outside your patio. The services were great....location is a short distance from town of San Pedro and they were so private. We would definitely stay there again and again!

Liked that tours would pick you up and drop off right at resort pier. Staff was excellent.

We stayed at Villa Sol Mate 3/29/25-4/5/25. The resort is beautiful, the staff was so kind. When we made our reservation David took care of the island hopper flight and the golf cart reservation. We stayed on the top floor, Villa Sol Mate, corner unit. The views were amazing and villa was perfect for the 7 of us. 4 kids comfortable shared a queen bed and trundle bed. All the furnishing were exquisite, the kitchen was fully stocked although we ate out for all meals. The veranda is huge, perfect for coffee or a glass of wine. The kids loved the pool, we saw just a couple people in the pool all week, no early morning chair grabbing required. The beds were so comfortable, everything we needed was provided. Myrtle took good care of us and brought new beach towels, changed out the bath towels, made beds and did the dishes each day.

Things we did: Took a golf cart to Secret beach, the kids loved the water park (inflatables in the water), they got 10 minute massages each overlooking the ocean, bougie kids :). We went fishing, snorkeling and had a private beach lunch with Tacio Badillo's fishing & day tours. Another day we swam with sharks, hung out with sting rays at Caye Caulker, saw a seahorse and fed the tarpons with Ethnie Figueroa. The kids loved jumping off the platform into the ocean at The Split.

We went to South San Pedro and explored the Iguana Sanctuary, grabbed some sweets at the Belize Chocolate Company and had lunch at Elvi's (so good).

We grabbed breakfast at The Farmhouse and Sol Cafe. We loved Rum Dog and the Truck Stop for dinner. Overall a perfect week in paradise!

The place was amazing. Views were gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and acomadating.

It was a smaller place which was nice. We felt like we had the pool to ourselves. Staff was so friendly and wonderful. Easily accessible with the golf cart to ride to town and restaurants. Felt safe. Could not swim in the ocean at this place no beach area.

Came to Belize for a short girls getaway. This is a lovely resort, with beautiful pool area and quiet areas to relax. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. It was nice to have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards that we could use as well. Highly recommend renting a golf cart for adventures further afield!
We stayed at Villa Sol Mate and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and well decorated, beds were very comfortable, and the villa had everything one might need for their stay. One of my favorite parts was the view! I loved going out on the balcony in the mornings to read and drink coffee before getting the day started.
During our stay we went to Secret Beach, had a snorkeling adventure near rocky point, practiced our golf swing and karaoked at Up North, kayaked to have lunch at Rum Dog, had massages on the beach and more. We squeezed a lot of fun in a short time but were still able to have time to relax and rejuvenate!
This was a perfect place for a friends getaway but would also be great for a family. There is a lot to do in Belize, and I can’t wait to go back to experience more! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Villa Sol Mate again!

The Villa Sol Mate at Belizean Cove Estates is a hidden gem! It is nestled back in a beautiful private area of San Pedro Island. There are eight villas, all overlooking a cluster of pools with plenty of chairs to relax on and a gorgeous view of the ocean. There is a dock at the resort with kayaks and a convenient place to be picked up on a boat for any water excursions you might do. We thoroughly enjoyed the full-day catamaran tour where we snorkeled & swam with sharks. The guys in our group also did a fishing excursion where they brought back some lobster that we had cooked at the Belizean Cove’s sister resort’s (CoCo Beach) restaurant - that dinner was phenomenal. We also enjoyed Carambas for dinner which was more in town, Rum Dogs for lunch, and also our morning coffee at Farmhouse Coffee Shop. The Truck Stop is a fun place for evening entertainment - live music - with food trucks. You will want to make sure to rent a golf cart as nothing is really withing walking distance, but the resort can help facilitate that. Everyone in Belize is so nice, friendly, & helpful, and the staff at this resort kept our villa clean & stocked with fresh towels daily as well as helped us with all our transportation & activity planning. The ladies in the group had a massage service set up right in the comfort of our villa - it was all planned through the concierge at the resort. Highly recommend a trip to Belize and staying here at the Villa Sol Mate at Belizean Cove Estates!

My husband, our two kids and I stayed in Belizean Cove estates - in the villa, Villa Sol Mate. There is so much to mention I don't know where to start but I will start with the complex as a whole. Everyone who worked there was really kind. They have bikes you can check out to go explore the area. We hopped in a Kayak and paddled to a beautiful lunch spot right over the water (It was called RumDog and the view was absolutely breath taking). I thought my teen would hate kayaking but forced her to try and I was wrong - she found a new love of kayaking! The pool is insanely huge considering there are only 8 villas. Great for kids of all ages, as there are shallow spots to play and deeper areas to swim. We saw other people at the pool only once during our 6 night stay. During the day if you walk out to the pier it feels like you are on top of the world/in the middle of the ocean. There is a sitting area and two beach chairs - take a moment to soak that in, it is a unique feeling. At night it is lit up and is just a really cool vibe. The desk staff was very friendly and helped us book our excursions , I highly suggest the snorkeling on the reef and shark experience. You get to visit another island, Caye Caulker and it was the coolest snorkeling experience of my life.

Villa Sol Mate - is hands down the nicest place I have ever booked for a vacation. There were flowers on the beds and in the bathroom which set the mood for a great stay. It felt like a home, not a rental. The decor was gorgeous and the ceilings tall and ornate. The place is super clean, not a grain of sand ANYWHERE inside, it is meticulously cleaned and maintained.

The master bedroom and bathroom were huge. Way bigger than I expected. We legit felt spoiled. Not to mention the AIR CONDITIONER. We keep the a/c at home at a steady 68 degrees so I was a bit worried that we would get to Central America and the unit wouldn't keep up with our demand. But each bedroom had its own temp control and my husband and I set that baby on 17 degrees and soaked it in :).

The kids room and bathroom was also huge. Way bigger than they are used to. Half of the double closet was full of shelves and there was plenty of room and storage so they didn't have to trip over suitcases all week.

Sidenote the residents of Belize are all so kind. Even the airport workers! We will 100% visit Belize and stay at the Villa Sol Mate again. It was perfection! P.s. family approved - we loved Palapas, Rum Dog, Truck Stop and Secret Beach.

Absolutely amazing time. David the concierge was phenomenal. He took care of everything we needed from arranging fishing and snorkeling trips, flights to and from the island. The villa we stayed in was gorgeous, spacious, clean, and had all the amenities of home. It is a smaller property with only 8 villas, but the pool is huge! Very quiet and relaxing with restaurants within a short walk down the beach. It was everything we wanted for our vacation. We will be back and next time we’ll bring the kids.

This was an amazing choice of place to stay! All the reviews were true!! The staff was amazing and helped us in so many ways with setting up everything from shuttle, golf cart, rental, excursions, and even helping me find a local bakery to get a birthday cake!! The pool and location was perfect bc we were a family not looking for the party scene !! STAY HERE trust me!!

The property exceeded our expectations; it had everything we needed and the staff was great. Special shoutout to David who was very communicative before we arrived and helpful during our stay.

Villa Sol Mate is a slice of heaven. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The bed was plush and cozy. The bathroom was clean and included toiletries with plenty of quality towels and washcloths. The kitchen and dining table are huge. The patio has a splendid view of the beautiful sea with comfortable outdoor furniture. Take a stroll on the private pier at night to unwind after a long day. Lots of great restaurants just a short golf cart ride away. Bikes available to ride as well. Don’t miss Secret Beach or Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkeling!
