Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rome Termini

My wife and I stayed here from 30th July til the 6th August all staff were amazing we had a wheelchair and had to use a stair lift which had to be operated by a staff member which was no problem any time we had to go out or return

The apartment was very well positioned and close to resturants and a 20 min walk to the beach. Igor who manages the apartment was very helpful and kind, dropping in more tea and offering to get medication from pharmacy as I was sick.

I liked how the sauna steam room and jacuzzi was all free to use just need to book. staff was helpful.

During my stay, I was in my room and undressed when a member of housekeeping opened my room door using a key. This was an embarrassing and upsetting invasion of my privacy, and it completely ruined my sense of security for the rest of the stay.

What disappointed me even more was how the hotel handled my complaint afterwards. Rather than acknowledging how distressing the incident was, they repeatedly focused on defending their procedures and staff. I was told that because my room key wasn’t in the electricity slot, the room appeared to be vacant. While that may explain why they attempted to access the room, it doesn’t change the fact that I was inside the room when the door was opened.

The hotel also stated that the door was only opened “slightly” and that the staff member did not see anything. That is not how I experienced the incident, and I was never shown any evidence to support those claims. I asked whether CCTV existed or had been reviewed, but instead of providing evidence, I was simply told that their investigation supported their employee’s account and that the matter was considered closed.

I was also surprised that the hotel brought up the fact that I had accidentally left my room key in the breakfast area on a different day. While I acknowledged that mistake, it had absolutely nothing to do with my complaint and felt like an attempt to shift the focus away from the issue I had raised.

What makes this even more concerning is that after reading other reviews, I found similar complaints from guests who reported housekeeping entering rooms unexpectedly. That made it difficult for me to accept the hotel’s statement that incidents of this nature had “never occurred” at the property.

Mistakes can happen, and I would have been far more understanding if the hotel had simply apologised and acknowledged my experience. Instead, I felt my concerns were dismissed and that protecting the hotel’s reputation took priority over addressing a guest’s legitimate complaint.

The manager came across as dismissive and rude throughout our correspondence, repeatedly defending the hotel rather than acknowledging the impact the incident had on me. So Unfortunately, because of both the incident itself and the way it was handled afterwards I would not feel comfortable staying at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to others who value their privacy.

First of all great front desk team. Each one was very welcoming very helpful and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure seeing them every morning. The location was central and fantastic in a quiet street but near everything. The room was modern and comfy and the breakfast was fabulous. Will stay there again for sure!

The location is extremely handy. We got the train from Fuimicino to Termini and had a very short walk to the hotel, the metro is also in Termini which is useful to visit all areas of Rome. The atmosphere in the hotel is exceptional, very friendly staff.
Our room was on the top floor and had 2 balconies which were lovely to sit out on in the morning and evening with out complementary coffees, comfortable beds and lovely AC.
The value for what we received was amazing as the hotel also offers 1 hour of Jacuzzi time for free each day of your stay, just ring reception and book your time.
Our bedroom was very soundproof, the only noise we heard was from other guests in the hallway which is perfectly reasonable.
Our room was cleaned every single day and the staff did an amazing job in doing so.
For my birthday the hotel also provided me with a bottle of red wine and balloons in my room which was a lovely gift to come back to the room to.

One of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. Our son was unexpectedly hospitalized with a serious medical emergency just before our trip. We contacted the hotel immediately, explained the situation, and even offered to provide medical documentation.
We understood the booking was non-refundable, but we hoped for some humanity—a partial refund or even a credit for a few unused nights. Every request was refused.
As returning Leonardo Hotels guests, we were shocked that the hotel chose to put its policies ahead of compassion and customer loyalty, even in the face of a genuine medical emergency. This experience has permanently lost our trust and our business.
I am sharing this review so that others are aware of how exceptional medical emergencies are handled before choosing to stay here.

We had a very pleasant stay at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rome Termini. The hotel is stylish, clean, and in a convenient location. The staff was friendly and always willing to help, and everything was well organized. The only small disappointment was that our room felt noticeably smaller than the size we expected based on the booking description. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would happily choose this hotel again on our next visit to Rome.
