Pros:

Location was good. The staff was extremely friendly.

Cons:

The rooms smelled like stale cigarettes. They were really small for the amount of money you pay a night for them. Not the cleanest room. Every is really beat up and old.

Historic hotel is downtown Dubuque, IA. Great location.
Pros:

Check in services was quick, easy and pleasant.

Cons:

I booked a room with a river view. However, there was not 'river view' room available at check it. Bummer.

It was awesome, will definitely go back.
Pros:

Being downtown there was a lot of places to eat within walking distance. Loved the vibe it gives being an older style Hotel. Would definitely go back.

Room lamp had no working light bulbs and them one one of the 2 bulbs was replaced. No hand bar soap in bathroom.

Already planning my next stay before I even checked out.
Pros:

The staff were incredible and made you feel like a priority, never a burden. I loved the historic charm paired with updated rooms and amenities—it felt both luxurious and comfortable. Having the spa right in the hotel was the best part. Being able to go straight from my room to the spa and back made for such a relaxing stay.

Cons:

The hot tub jets didn’t work.
