Nice quiet room, but too expensive
Pros:

Good location, very quiet, historic, nice restaurant in facility

Cons:

Warm room, but great hotel
Pros:

The location was great. We loved the historical aspect of this hotel.

Cons:

Our room was warm. When we attempted to lower the thermostat it only kept getting warmer. By the time we left the room was 75 degrees which is not ideal sleeping temperature.

Great location!

Cons:

I'm not sure if Caroline's is associated with the hotel but the brunch was very understaffed.

The Julien Hotel is much more than a place to stay.
Pros:

Great historical conversations with desk staff. The morning desk person took the time to show me the wall photos near the elevator. Also, the waiter at Caroline’s was one of the best I’ve ever met. We exchanged some great conversations.
I also enjoyed the excellent swimming pool and fitness center.

Cons:

Had to leave and go back home. No complaints at all.

Disappointed after a previous nice stay
Pros:

Hotel Julien is a beautiful, grand old hotel with accommodating staff, and a good central location. The space in the suites was nice, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated a full size kitchen.

Unfortunately, one bedside lamp did not work (the light bulb was fine, but the lamp base had to be jiggled for the light to stay on); curtains, sheers, and the broken kitchen blind were covered in dust, and the glass top table, chairs, and sofa were dirty (coins and crumbs on the sides of the cushions). Charging electronics was inconvenient. This was our second time to stay, but until there is a major renovation of the rooms, we sadly won’t return.
