Ok
Pros:

Nice hotel but our room was a little tired and noisy as we had a basement room under the bistro. It was all fine but to be honest would expect more for the amount we paid.

Pleasant.
Pros:

The entrance and bar area were good. Reception staff lovely

Cons:

We were upgraded to a suite - totally soulless and so hot. Air con not working. Just a massive room with no thought to furnishings. We went back to our original deluxe double which was far nicer.

Very satisfied and hope to return
Pros:

Location at the centre of the town is a reason for staying.
Excellent breakfast which catered for a gluten free requirement.
The room was cool and airy despite the hot weather.
The staff were friendly and helpful- responding to requests promptly

Cons:

TV didn't work- but that was quickly sorted by staff when reported

On arrival the original room allocated by the receptionist was refused on the basis of the unsatisfactory experience of it at the last stay. Another was then allocated and this met the needs and expectations of the stay at this high end hotel

Pros:

Great location - nice bar area, room was very spacious.

Cons:

The rooms as starting to feel dated - in helping some fellow guests the hotel is not brilliantly accessible. A slight frustration was car parking - the notification from booking advised that limited spaces allocated on arrival - whereas reception advised that rebooking essential- not a great start to the weekend - also there is better access for cases at the rear entrance - would be helpful to know this

Much as expected for a premium property
Pros:

The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good

Cons:

Lack of flexibility of bar staff in terms of available drinks, they could do what was on the limited menu for cocktails but anything else just met a fat no!. All the windows were open on arrival and we felt the security side of the room was a bit lacking The location is prone to street noise but that’s any central location The toilet (en suite) was very low and not comfortable

Rubbish!
Pros:

Location was central

Cons:

The heat in the room was awful! No AC. We ended up with 3 x fans in our room but even then the room was incredibly hot!
There was a dreadful small of drains in our room too.
Also, the restaurant wasn’t willing to / couldn’t adapt meals for allergies - we had to cancel our reservation for dinner as a result!
Not at all the standard we expected.

Cons:

The massive issue was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms which as a result were like a sauna. Dangerously hot for my elderly mother and for our dogs
