Breakfast was great. The room was comfortable for three people. Good location as it was quite near the beach and all the nice eateries, which was very convenient.
The single bed was a bit shaky as it was one of those with retractable legs.

I might be wrong, but I get the impression a lot of hotels were built at the same time here. But this was a really great hotel with that in mind, the reception was really welcoming and the room very comfortable.
The breakfast was really good when it arrived, but I like a simple situation and this was a bit complicated. The guy asked me what I want but it turned into a whole conversation.. I just want a full English sometimes, no need for a whole dialogue re what I want. And I guess they make it for you as I waited 10 long minutes, which is ok if you know in advance
The proximity to the beach and to the theatres, art gallery and restaurants.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and were able to fulfil all our requests for suitable accommodation for our party.
The recent change in restaurant. We enjoyed our Indian meal but wouldn’t want to eat it every day.

The staff were fabulous and so was the location. We managed to park on site which was very convenient.
This hotel has it's own individual charm. For my taste all I can say it is dated in its decor. Very clean and functional.

Quiet area
The hotel is superbly situated for Devonshire Park, the sea front and a short walk into town.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The bathroom was clean with a good shower.
The suite was on the top floor only accessible by a combination of lift and 2 flights of stairs (or 6 flights from the lobby).
It was very hot indeed. A fan was supplied but it was a bit broken and needed propping up.
The bar area was not staffed when we popped in for a coffee in the evening.
The coffee and tea in the room wasn't great.
