Staff were lovely both at hotel a d at number 9 food was lovely would certainly stay here again
Clean.
Poor coffee/tea choice in room.
Clean & comfortable, nice touch with the Harris Tweed, good location, staff friendly & helpful.
Great breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff
Great hotel, very convenient to the ferry terminal. Staff were all very friendly and the room was very comfortable.
An appallingly run down and hygienically abysmal hotel.
The rate was farcically high (£189 per night) for what we were provided with. Urine stained sheets and toppers, rusty and dangerous corrosion in the bathrooms and an indifferent and unenthusiastic staff.
This hotel survives solely on the lack of alternative choices for people in stornoway. Thank goodness for air bnb
Clean and close to the harbour
The revolving doors are hard to get through with a big case
Great location, handy for ferry terminal.
Very comfy single beds in a large twin room. It was disability friendly and brilliant shower. Decor a bit dated but that’s Stornoway for you.
Excellent hotel and staff. Kevin is like a conductor of a large orchestra advising his staff, showing by example how it's done . Special shout out to Abigail, Stuart and Livia for making our stay fantastic. Food was outstanding every night thanks to the chef's attention to detail. This hotel is worthy of more than 3 stars
I've just had a 4 night stay at this friendly hotel. Very clean, brilliant location in Stornoway. Warm with great amenities. Special mentions: food well above 3 star hotel quality. Buffet & carvery provided and prepared by professional chefs. Staff all cheery, special mentions for Abigail who was very helpful. Stuart, Livia for their enthusiasm, and like a conductor, manager Kevin, who led by example helping his young staff. Best hotel in Stornoway.
Location to port

Staff unfriendly.
Tried checking in at 1.30. Got told no come back 2.30 no offer to store bags or anything and raining.
Came back 2.40 told room still not ready to come back .... We said no and then given another room. Then at 10am housekeeping knocking door to clean etc and we said no check out is 11am and that is when we left
Perfect location when straight off the Ferry
Nothing
The staff were incredible! Abigail on the front desk was an absolute superstar and helped me out so much! She is brilliant!
Room abit small and not very modern.
I've stayed here several times for work. Hotel is centrally located a short walk from town centre, harbour, Tescos etc so good location. Staff are excellent & very friendly and the food I found to be of a very high standard. The upstairs, main areas and rooms are it has to be said somewhat dated and probably have their best days behind them so it could do with a revamp but all in all comfortable enough so I will be back, cheers.
I am a repeat customer, 3 or 4 times now. Hotel and restaurant staff all extremely helpful and pleasant, food good, room clean, comfortable and well equipped. And dog allowed except in restaurant area but you can eat in adjacent airy bar area with dog.
Easy to get to from the ferry port which was much appreciated after a late night arrival, staff were friendly and professional and the room was amazing
