Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location and ambience are lovely.
The hotel is a little old-fashioned. Breakfast was a little unimaginative - no fruit on offer, for example. The TV controller didn't work properly and only Freeview channels were available.
Staff very helpful. It was all just what you want from a hotel: nice room, good evening meal and a fabulous breakfast.

Nice room with comfortable bed . Excellent breakfast .
An event at the hotel meant lots of people in lounge and bar and we couldn’t use either when we arrived and went to the local pub. Dinner was set up in the bar and not the terrace restaurant as we would have expected . No hot water in the morning . Told staff at breakfast and was told they would get back to us. When we were checking out reminded them and was told they had a boiler issue . At that point asked if we wanted to use a shower in another room. Obviously too late at that point and then had £10 taken off the bill - odd.
Room comfortable and good quality bed and bed linen . Not able to use bar or longe as taken over by event guests so went to the local pub. Evening meal was set in the bar not Terrace Restaurant that we would have expected . Excellent breakfast . No hot water in the morning - explained at breakfast and was told they would get back to us. At checkout reminded we had had no hot water and was told it was a boiler issue and at that point offered another room to shower in. Obviously too late and they took £10 off our bill -odd.
The location was ideal for us. We enjoyed our food of evening meal and breakfast too.
Room was very nicely laid out.
Lovely garden area and in a great and chilled out area.
Very poor shower in our room (and spoke to another person staying who had the same issue) literally zero pressure and like a light rain.
Other thing is we had to leave early on a daily basis. We was told that breakfast starts at 7 on the first night of our stay. (Was booked for Friday and Saturday night) We didn't take advantage of it, but decided to get to our event late on the last morning and have a nice breakfast. Unfortunately we was not told that on Sundays, the breakfast isn't until 8:30. Very poor as it ruined the day for us and is very unprofessional knowing which days we would be staying.
Ended up getting to our event Sunday in heavy traffic, after no breakfast and pretty damn miffed all because the gentleman on the front desk didn't give us the full information.
Breakfast good. Dinner good
Bathroom needs a bit of a makeover.
lounge needs a makeover, floor needs sanding 🥺
Good very peaceful place to stay away from the rat
race
Nice walk in shower but lack of power in the flow of water
Firstly this wasn’t the only hotel contacted in the area to discuss my Father in laws wake but was the only hotel that replied and what felt very personal was that they contacted us by telephone rather than replying to an email. Whilst making arrangements with the friendly and empathetic staff rooms were also booked for family members to stay overnight. The hotel is very clean with a homely atmosphere, it is quaint with character and there is plenary of parking. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The food provided for the wake was delicious and there was plenty of it with staff on hand to help if needed. The rooms are cosy, warm and immaculate with character, not sterile and hotel like whatsoever and each room decorated in its own way rather than all rooms being decorated in the same way. Situated in a pretty village it is a lovey place to stay and after a very emotional and busy day sitting by the open fire and chatting between ourselves was lovely. Thank you to all of the staff who couldn’t have done anymore for us all. After a huge breakfast the next morning we left this beautiful hotel and will definitely be back for a break and under happier circumstances to stay at this lovely hotel.
The mattress springs were digging into me. They sorted it the second night.
Big cluttering noise until after 10.30pm., it felt like if they were moving big metal barrels.
Breakfast was good.
Need new mattresses, or better toppers.
Love this hotel, just feels like home, beautiful room and bathroom.
Great location, we didn't eat here but have in the past lovely sandwich for lunch, the staff are super friendly too.
Nothing to dislike
Very convenient for a South Downs walk
Staff were very welcoming
Food was very tasty
Bed and Bed linen were comfy
Some areas of the hotel could have been warmer on a cold January night but we had our dinner in the lounge by the open fire which was fine
Building of character
Log fire in front lounge
Breakfast was dominated by the radio broadcasts
We have used the Findon Manor for years as we regularly visit relatives in Lancing and have found it to be excellent value .
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the hotel is clean and cosy .
The breakfast we had today was very good (as usual )and the service was efficient and friendly.
Would recommend if you prefer Hotels with character like we do .
