Best Service
Pros:

We love all staff at The restaurant. Mrs Thanh the Restaurant Manager who is always known what we like every morning. Mrs Tu FBM is always smiling. Mrs thuy Huong brings us nice coffee. Nhat and Trang is so nice. ❤️❤️❤️we will comeback

Lovely buffet !!
Pros:

We visited The Square as a family of five, including our eight-year-old daughter, and had a really great experience.

The atmosphere was relaxed with nice music, which made it easy to enjoy the evening. There was a huge amount of choice on offer – sushi, cakes, and a fresh cooking station where you could have steak, shrimp and other meats prepared exactly how you like them. Everything we tried was really tasty.

What stood out just as much as the food was the service. Huong (captain), Trúc Linh (hostess), and Thịnh (chef) were all excellent – friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout.

We were actually quite surprised to find it tucked away inside the Novotel, but it’s a bit of a hidden gem. We really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Not worth the money
Pros:

The room has good soundproofing, and the bed is comfortable.

Cons:

There were two things I disliked most about Novotel:

1. Terrible food: After checking in and while waiting until 2:00 PM for my room, I ate at the restaurant on the first floor. It was the worst pizza and sandwich I’ve ever had. The pizza crust was made from frozen dough and was rock hard; the sandwich was also tough, and the ingredients lacked flavor. I forgot to take a photo, but honestly, fast-food chains like Pizza Hut taste better. Considering how common high-quality Italian pizza, wood-fired pizza, or 4P’s pizza is in Vietnam now, it’s shocking that a chef at a 4-star hotel would serve such poor quality. This was the first thing that ruined my mood.

2. Lack of communication regarding beach services: Upon check-in, the receptionists failed to mention that the sunloungers on the beach in front of the hotel are only free from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
When I went down to the beach at 4:05 PM, I saw umbrellas with the hotel logo and intended to sit down. A man approached me and rudely asked, 'How many chairs?' Thinking he was hotel staff, I said I needed two. He told me it would be 200k VND for two chairs; otherwise, I couldn't sit there.

Goodness, I felt like I was back in Vung Tau 20 years ago!!!!! I paid 3.5 million VND for a one-night stay mid-tour. It’s not that I can’t afford extra for services, but the experience was bizarre and talking to that man completely soured my mood.

If the hotel wants to provide loungers for guests, they should cover the cost for the entire day. If they can’t do that, they should just remove the chairs entirely.

The balcony had a direct sea view
Pros:

The room was spacious, but a bit old, though the location was fantastic. The balcony had a direct sea view, which was lovely. At night, you could see Vinpearl Island, and in the morning, you could watch the sunrise over the sea. However, the breakfast buffet was exactly the same on both days.
The hotel should pay attention to cleaning the gaps between the cabinets along the wall; I happened to glance at them and noticed a lot of dust.

Pros:

The warmest welcome in Vietnam

From the moment we arrived, the concierge and front desk team were incredibly welcoming. John, who checked us in, was fantastic—friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.

The room had everything we needed, with a great sea view to wake up to. The gym was well-equipped, and the pool was perfect for a refreshing dip.

Housekeeping were excellent—always smiling and kept everything spotless.

Great staff, great facilities, great stay. Would definitely return.

Great location to the beach
Pros:

Great location across the road from a great beach . Easy walking. Distance to everything .
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful .
The rooms are a great size if his getting a little dated . Our bed was quite firm but when we asked they added a topper no problem
Would definitely stay here again

Hotel with a great service
Pros:

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and were given an excellent room facing the sea. Of special mention is the breakfast service. I was not feeling well on the first day and the restaurant
manager Thanh noticed and then offered to make me a ginger tea. When I didn’t finish the noodle soup, she was proactive to ask if it was not good.
On the whole the service is attentive at the restaurant and check in as well.
The hotel is also near the night market and many good eateries 🙂
