Always a good stay here. Room was nicer than the last time we visited, staff are always friendly although the young waitress seemed very quiet. I had to ask her to repeat herself several times as i couldnt hear her. Other than that its a great stay. The bar staff are good and makes a wicked whiskey sour. Well worth a try. Parking is a waste of time. Only 6 spaces so you will be lucky.
Lovely hotel
Room high up which gave views over back of hotel but … windows steamed up and a challenge to open
General decor and style of HdV was brill and staff v v good
Enjoyable visit
Beautiful room. Restaurant was excellent
The Hotel du Vin is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Our room was spacious, clean and airy. The bed was comfortable and the linen was crisp and white. We had a fantastic hot and powerful shower in a large bathroom.
Older rooms and carpet needs updating.
Such a beautiful and grand hotel. Practically perfect in every way.Fantastic location to the quay and town.Loved everything about it
Delightful restaurant staff.
Poor reception staff who didn’t want to talk to a female, but kept talking to my husband.
When we needed support with the air con nobody answered the phone!
It was quirky but excellent
Went away for one night for our wedding anniversary room was beautiful reception she couldn't do enough for us breakfast was excellent would highly recommend this hotel
Excellent as always
Nice hotel well located in centre of Poole Breakfast is great
Recently renovated historic property in stunning Windsor Park setting. Superb staff who are extremely warm and helpful - going far beyond the hospitality of good hotels. Rooms were very comfortable although it could be a bit warm (given unusually warm weather and a lack of ac, something typical in the area). The biggest disadvantage is the steep stairs to access the rooms, although the staff readily assist guests with luggage. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the atmosphere of the outdoor patio enchanting.
I booked at the last minute. The staff were excellent but I couldn't phone to the reception desk.
Beautifully decorated hotel.
Hotel is in a fantastic location, however it is a little tired, the car park is not very large and hard to get in and out of, overall it is just an average hotel with a large nightly fee.
Amazing staff
Staff very friendly and service great at breakfast.
Room was clean and tidy and bed was comfy the TV worked and there was an option to cast to the TV. Didn't do this but there was an option.
Room was a bit of a let down for a 6ft3 person the ceiling was too low and I hit by head on the smoke alarm, the shower was too low too. Windows were difficult to open as they hit the table and ceiling.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a decent menu. The bar is okay, but the intimate snug is lovely as is the wine tasting room.
