Disappointment
Pros:

Service at the guste and hospitality department is not professional. I had them receiving some parcels for me, the guy working there seems rude and impatient. Condition is also not very satisfied, too old and air conditioner is not working well.

Pros:

Das Hotel hat bestimmt schon bessere Tage gesehen. Mitarbeiter sind bemüht, aber Kommunikation scheiterte oft an mangelnden Englischkenntnissen (ich selbst kann kleider kein chinesisch).
Im Foyer war das Dach undicht.

Zimmer: Groß, aber sehr laute Klimaanlage. Zum Schlafen musste ich diese ausschalten - worauf die Temperatur im laufe der Nacht wieder sehr stark anstieg.

Still fabulous
Pros:

Second stay at this hotel. Service, cleanliness, friendliness and professionalism right up with the best. Room's very comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet location. Ideal for business travel. Staff speak English.

酒店不算新, 近年有不少新的酒店出現, 但位置處於很安静的位置的酒店，住得很舒服. 是每年出差到常州的首選入住酒店, 前台的所有員工都很友善. 很有禮貌

Pleasure stay
Pros:

Just stay for one night. The breakfast is good. The location is great if you would like to visit Yancheng Zoo. It seems if your IHG membership status is high, they will surely upgrade your room. The parking is free. The room style may be old fashioned but it is acceptable.

what you can expect from a holiday inn
Pros:

currently there are better oportunities for staying in the hotel around that city
if you dont need the points nights stay some of the other newer 5* hotels

excecutive lounge ok can get a few snacks drinks to keep going. only open in evening

breakfast nothing special

room suite ok but all getting old now

Pros:

Nice, clean room. Friendly staff. Easy check-in & out. (I pre-reserved). I included breakfast during my stay. Quite a variety of food selections. I'm very happy with this hotel.
I arrived late and they were ready for me. Checkin took 5 minutes. With the included breakfast, I only had to give them my room number. Very convenient.

Pros:

Stayed two nights during Chinese New Year holiday for a short trip with family and friends.

Plus:
+ Spacious room
+ Open view over the big hotel lawn

Minus
- Sub-par breakfast (and extra charge for toddlers!)
- Amateur services (inefficient check-in)
- Noisy air vent in guest room (had to shut it off completely at night)
- Cold swimming pool
- Located nowhere near diners
- Smoking everywhere!

I would have expected more from an IHG hotel but it was the most inexpensive one I ended up with during the fully-booked CNY holiday.

Unexpectidly Good
Pros:

Stayed here during a short business trip, and was completely surprised how good this place is, having experienced Holiday Inn's in Europe. This is definitely a 4 star hotel, clean, tidy, large rooms, and with a lot of 5 star hotel amenities. The bath room has both shower and bath tub, with other bathroom items, hairdryer, scales etc. The bed is large and very comfortable and you are provided with a choice of hard/soft pillows. Iron and board, safe and plenty of closet space. I ha a good view (room 6529), with the window offering plenty of light during the day. Very quite hotel with a decent buffet breakfast. The staff, as you'd expect in Asia, are all friendly and happy to help. All the persons we spoke to could speak in English. In summary, a great hotel for a bargain of a price. Happy to be here, thank you Holiday Inn.

Completely new and modern at the outskirts of the city
Pros:

I stayed here during a business trip for one night. The service at both reception and restaurant was good and welcoming. The room I was given was a double bed huge room very convenient for a business traveler including free wifi.

The dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the wine was good too.
Only small matter which did not bother me at all was the inability to open the window as thee was a warning regarding mosquitos outside at the bush area in front of the hotel.
