Beautiful hotel with a really spacious room. Really friendly welcome. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and kindly moved us into another (fabulous) room when we raised a query. We really enjoyed our stay.
Food could be improved (bar and breakfast). Spa is a little dated but we still enjoyed it.

The bedroom, bed and bathroom were good. The staff were mainly friendly. The evening meal was nice and the breakfast was okay. Location and view was good.
Although the evening meal was tasty it was a small portion. I ordered a large lime and lemonade, the lemonade was flat so I asked for another and that was also flat so asked for another and they gave me a small bottled lemonade and I was asked for payment! I was flabbergasted and refused but didn’t get a large lemonade. The bed was large and comfy but the pillows were all too large which affected my sleep. The car park is tiny we struggled to park each day. Breakfast was warmish but not hot
The facilities were first class. All the staff were totally committed to making our stay special especially Joanne on reception.
The spa could do with a refurb especially the sauna and male changing facilities

The room was very clean and the decor was fabulous but it was too hot even with the radiators turned off and the window open.

So myself and partner booked a last minute DBB. First of all the staff! So friendly and welcoming, so helpful and the bar staff were soo fun and energetic!
We came with our little dog and every staff member made a real fuss over him which was cute!
The decor was gorgeous-minus a few random places where the carpets hadn’t been changed 🤣

The food was stunning!!! 🤩 so so nice! My partner ordered garlic bread and steak from the bar menu and I got duck and lamb from the proper restaurant and both meals did not disappoint!

The down side I’d say was the spa. Now I could tell from the pictures it was small and dated but looked even more so in person. The steam room literally had space for 2 people sat right next to each other which may feel abit awkward with a stranger! The sauna I’d say could fit 3. The jacuzzi bubbles didn’t work and there were some VERY loud children in there bombing into the pool 🤦🏼♀️ not very relaxing for a “spa”
Myself and partner had treatments a back massage and a shoulder,neck and shoulder massage. These were lovely and the therapist so nice and good at their jobs we loved our massages!
Obviously this isn’t a spa hotel so no biggy.
The buffet breakfast was very average. I guess it’s hard with a buffet to get it right but I have been places and had lovely buffet breakfasts. You could just tell it had been sat. You can order from a menu for an extra £4.
