Lacked a residents lounge with natural light, bar a little dark confined if having bar meal
Excellent Hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner were really good, with dinner service and food exceptional. The hotel room was superb. Location is very good for visiting the south Lakes. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Extremely friendly staff, fantastic value for money, great food and service and a very clean room
Location was rather isolated and the rooms got very hot overnight even though the windows were open. We slept great, but it was slightly uncomfortable and difficult to get to sleep.
The breakfast was perfect and very yummy
Excellent hotel in a great location. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and with an ensuite that had a walk in shower, a large wash basin and toilet. The bed was comfortable and we found the room quiet. The service from the staff was faultless and the food was excellent. We would certainly stay here again if we came back to Grange Over Sands.
The good:
* Excellent location, within easy walking distance of the main street
* Attractive building with convenient parking
* Newly renovated rooms and bathrooms — very comfortable and well finished
* Good on-site restaurant
The bad:
* The spa is clearly dated and in need of refurbishment
* Cold plunge pool and jacuzzi feel underwhelming
* Sauna appeared to be out of order during the stay
* Steam room is very small (only fits two people) and felt tired and not well maintained
* Additional charges for bathrobes and slippers feel unnecessary for a spa hotel
Poor breakfast. No service, cofee machine out of order. No butter on the table. No more pastries, plates, milk…
Beautiful hotel,had a lovely few days there,the staff very friendly and polite all in all very good.There was a couple of thing that niggle me we had to hire dressing gowns to go down to pool would of liked them already in the room for us,breakfast had to pay for certain items poached,boiled, egg benedict and a coulp of other things,breakfast included should mean everything in my opion and the pool was freezing.

We stayed at the Grange Hotel in Grange over Sands for a 90th birthday treat for mum recently and we wanted it to be a special treat. We were not disappointed with the Grange Hotel. It's a beautiful hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated in 1920s art deco style. All the staff were so friendly and wanted to ensure our stay was comfortable. We need to give a big shout out to Chloe, not only does she made the best cup of tea in the UK, she is full of local knowledge and what she doesn't know isn't worth knowing! Chloe made us feel so welcome and at ease. The food in the restaurant is delicious and we could not fault it. We would definitely recommend Grange Hotel in Grange over Sands.
Loved every minute from the newly decorated room beautifully laid out with soft bedding and stunning decor with that said the hotel is actually now for us personally the holiday itself super chill atmosphere and friendly staff in every department always more than happy to make your stay pleasurable
Maybe resort back to old layout in the breakfast room I felt it was a bit all over the place and didn’t flow like before when toast juice and tea and coffee were all next to each other
