Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Staff were lovely!

Despite my “average” review we like this hotel but things during our recent stay should have been better. During a phone booking we were promised our rear facing room would have a bath but it hadn’t - I’d strongly advise against booking these airless rear facing rooms as ours smelt stale and unpleasant . Returning to reception to enquire about the missing bath we were told in no uncertain terms by a stony faced receptionist that we couldn’t have been promised a bath as these rooms don't have any. “We haven't made it up” we whimpered! @You’ll have to pay an upgrade supplement “the unsympathetic women told us. The upgraded room was nice apart that is from when bathing soap was only accessible from the fixed dispenser fitted above the sink and why on earth are there only gout tissues in their box (miserly in the extreme! Breakfast was good and the other staff we met were charming!

This hotel is stunning , the room we had 101 was huge with a limited bay view .The staff were wonderful and very helpful, the grounds were beautiful and well kept . The Spa was very nice and again very clean . My only gripes would be the shower takes forever to get hot and on our first night it was windy and the windows were rattling and making a very loud noise and I had to wedge cardboard in the frames so we could get some sleep but it was not a big deal .The breakfast was lovely and we had a meal in the restaurant on our first night which was a mistake as the food was poncy, small and very expensive for what it was , after that I found a restaurant called the Pheasant Inn just 5 min drive and the food was amazing and half the price we paid in the hotel. Overall the hotel was great and I would definately book a stay again .

We had an exceptional stay at the Grange Hotel and would like to sincerely thank the customer service team. Following unplanned surgery, I required time-sensitive antibiotics that needed refrigeration, and the team kindly provided a mini fridge in my room and upgraded us to a room with reduced UV lighting to support my recovery.
The hotel’s location, directly opposite the train station, was extremely convenient, and the atmosphere throughout was warm, calm, and welcoming. It also offered excellent value for money.
Breakfast was excellent,although I didn’t choose a full English, I enjoyed freshly made pancakes every day at no extra cost, which were delicious.
On the day of departure, our journey was disrupted by replacement buses, which would have affected my medication schedule. The team were incredibly supportive and allowed us to extend our stay for another night without changing rooms.
Overall, the care, flexibility, and kindness shown made my stay truly outstanding, 101% fantastic. I highly recommend the Grange Hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel, we needed a short break away just relaxing and Grange over Sands and The Grange Hotel, proved to be a great place to just relax. While the hotel is beautiful, the food excellent and our room exceeded our expectations - special mention must be made to the staff who were all amazing. So welcoming and professional. Hospitality at its best.

This is the most stunning spa hotel in the lakes. The facilities and rooms are great. We came for my partners birthday and they was so welcoming from the minute we got there. A huge shout out to Kal (bar manager) you are an asset to the company, the friendliest and kindest person.

Beautiful situation within easy walking distance of Grange-over-sands. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Great property recently renovated. Lovely modern and comfortable rooms. We dined in the carriage restaurant and great food. Breakfast buffet lovely, and nice you could order pancakes and eggs to order. Lovely staff. Great stay!
