A dignified Victorian mansion in a pleasant garden setting with views of Morecambe Bay. Very clean, comfortably furnished. The restaurant is excellent.
There is not enough parking space for all the clients.

The hotel is an impressive looking big house with beautiful surroundings, nice bar and seating areas, close to the station and some nice restaurants and shops. Super quiet. Nice although small swimming pool with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Staff were all really lovely and helpful especially the spa staff.
Headache-inducing swirly carpets everywhere, breakfast was quite basic and service at breakfast was very slow. For example they had only a choice of basic sliced brown or white bread. I would have liked to see some nuts, seeds etc. and some plant based yogurts etc. There was a motion sensor for the bathroom light which was very bright so every time I got up in the night it woke us both up! Also, when in the shower the light would go off periodically, meaning you would need to push the door open to reactivate the sensor.

More comfortable sofa type seating in bar area. A bit sterile. One barman was very scruffy in old jeans and dirty trainers.

I just loved the beautiful setting and although there was a misunderstanding about being doggie friendly the hotel manger made a very kind offer and also an upgrade on our next stay which I hope will be in the not too distant future

Rooms were lovely , decor is really nice. Rooms need a mini fridge esp the penthouse if you’re paying extra.
Food was average, dinner portions not that big, no mini fridge. Pool area needs to be re done

The room size was great. The food was delicious, all 3 courses. The staff were all very professional and friendly. The evening bar staff were great and make wonderful cocktails.
Pool was smaller than expected, Steam room was very small
