Staff is very welcoming, accommodating and professional! Everyone from the front desk to cleaning staff was exceptional. Location is unbeatable and it’s a very proper high end hotel experience with solid rooms and a nice building. This is actually very rare to have in NY hotels unless you go for outmost luxury.

Perfect location and an amazing hotel. The staff are so kind, and the rooms are spacious, newly updated, really nice bathroom, coffee, linens, bed. I know you’ll love this find of a hotel, as I did. Everything is at yr fingertips NYC style. After many trips to NYC with old small hotel rooms I’ve found my perfect spot. Thank you thank u Smyth Tribeca. All I can say is WOW! The customer service at The Smyth was top notch. I have never met a a staff that balances professionalism, hospitality, and friendliness(In that order) like the staff I met during my stay. Johnny or Jonny was helped me work through an issue I had on my company reservation portal and was patient, kind, and accommodating the entire time. Mario didn’t let me touch a bag the entire time I was in the building, I felt so cared for and had a lovely conversation. Mariah greeted me with so much warmth and ensured I had everything I needed. No matter if it was check in or if I was just popping out for a coffee, she would ask me how I was and if there was anything she could do for me.

I cannot say enough about how pleasant my experience was and it was all thanks to the lovely staff and my very well kept room.

The Smyth is like going to your dream NYC home. The location is downtown heaven, the team - inc Mario, Johnny & Mariah & truly everyone take care of anything you would like. Professional, thoughtful & fun. The rooms are perfect, minimal chic, not fussy & if you get a balcony it’s a special treat. I’ve stayed here for 10+ years for a reason & always return. It’s a wonderful value for a great hotel in a perfect neighborhood,

I was disappointed by my stay this property is not well maintained. My room very spacious but it was desperately in need of maintenance. There was paint peeling from the ceiling, broken floors duck-taped together. Other flooring that was completely scratched up and discolored. Chunks missing from the wallpaper. Saggy mattress. Dingy hallway with dirty carpet. On a positive note, the lounge and restaurant downstairs were both nice and the staff seemed friendly.
