Astoria Plaza

I stayed in Astoria with my family and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The lobby was a bit smaller than we expected which was a non-issue. The property location was convenient. We literally walked to the closest mall which is Estancia Mall. The service was top notch. We were very impressed by the staff from the moment we stepped on the property. You can really feel the pride of the people who work here. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They all carry with them a smile. Checking in and out was a breeze. Thank you to Mr. Joshua Siapno and his team at the front desk for being so attentive and amazing! Kids love their surprise treats. I forgot the names of the staff at the restaurant (I think JM? was one of them), but I have to say the hospitality from when we were sat down was exceptional. The buffet breakfast was great and offered different options. The suites we booked were very spacious and had everything we needed and more. For the price you pay to stay at this property, it is absolutely worth the money. We stayed at other hotels while in Manila and I have to say, the people who work in this property trumps everywhere else we went. Management should be proud! We would definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Manila.

The front desk and the concierge even the security staff are all amazing. No question too stupid or too big. Everyone is always willing and available to help out. I would like to mention Jasmine Cunanan as someone who had all the answers. :-)

I stayed at Astoria Plaza for the last couple of days of my business trip in March. I booked ly stay on a 3rd party booking engine as it was a lot cheaper than booking direct unfortunately.
I had actually stayed here more than ten years ago, and not much has changed. The lobby, felt smaller than I remembered though.

I arrived around check-in time, but my room was not yet ready, so I had to wait about 30 minutes. It was a bit surprising as there were not many guests actively checking in, although the lobby itself was overflowing with luggages and luggage trolleys. On the positive side, the reception staff were all friendly and approachable.

I ran into the usual issue with deposits. Since I do not typically use credit cards where I live, I had to leave a cash deposit again. It is something I have mostly encountered in the Philippines, and it still feels a bit inconvenient compared to other countries.

The lobby seating is quite limited and uncomfortable, with only a small number of seats, and the elevators can get busy, especially during peak hours, as there are only two guest elevators and one service lift.

The room, however, was the highlight. It was very spacious, with a separate living area, kitchen, and bedroom, and offered nice views of Ortigas. Just like the rest of the hotel, it felt dated, but everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were slightly small but comfortable enough. One issue I encountered was with the shower, which had very strong water pressure and tended to flood the bathroom floor whenever I showered. Thankfully, housekeeping was responsive and helpful whenever needed.

I did not get to use the other amenities, as I was mostly out during the day. Breakfast was served on the ground floor and was actually quite good, with the fried plantains being a standout for me. The only thing that felt unnecessary was how strictly they managed seating. Staff would assign tables and repeatedly ask for my name, even after I had already provided my room number or shown my key. It may be for security or organization, but it felt excessive, especially when the dining area was far from full during my entire stay. I ended up always choosing my own seating most of the time, simply to be more comfortable given personal circumstances.

Check out was fairly smooth, though there was a short wait while they inspected the room.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel may be dated, but it is well maintained, the rooms are spacious, and the location is very convenient, close to major shopping centers like Megamall or the Podium. I would still consider staying here again for future trips in Ortigas.

Marvellous stay for the first time in this hotel. Highly recommended, very clean, staff very helpful and accommodating and attentive with respect. All our request addressed promptly. We will certainly come back again. It's one if the best location in the area with spacious room. The staff are very helpful too. The hotel also provide shuttle service to take you to Mega Mall and Shangrila Mall.

Our stay at Astoria Plaza was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I stayed for 15 nights. From the moment we arrived, the staffs were welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. The check-in process was smooth, thanks to Mark and Madelene who assisted us very professionally. We were offered a room which was spotless, well-equipped, and had a stunning view.
Housekeeping was efficient and ensured our room was refreshed daily. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay. We will definitely be returning

Comfortable place , I can recommend to all my friends and relatives to spent their holidays together with their families and friends. At the same time the foods is good and delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay and truly appreciated the free room upgrade. We were also accommodated earlier than the usual check in time. Special thanks to Ms. Jasmin for being very accommodating. We also enjoyed the massage service we availed, very relaxing.

Really amazing service and accommodation. I loved being with my friends and family here as it was my birthday and everything was just perfect. People were so nice I felt so special. Ms Jacqueline was really nice from the front desk, she made my day and my birthday extra special despite it ending.

We enjoyed the stay so far! Booked a double room suite, room is spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed the TV channels too! Breakfast is included as well, continental breakfast and also able to enjoy local delicacies as well. The staffs are amazingly friendly as well, especially the reception, they are all very helpful especially Jasmine.

The staff were all warm, friendly, and very helpful. Joyce kindly helped us get an early check-in since my daughter and I arrived early in the morning from a flight. While waiting for our room to be ready, she made sure we were comfortable. Really appreciate the great customer service at this hotel.

Bellman service is no. 1 in this hotel - thank you to Dave and Ryan for assisting us well in our 2 weeks stay making sure that our things are transferred safely to our rooms. I also like to commend the shuttle service to and from Megamall and Shangrila which always considers punctuality and convenience of its guests. Aldrin of Cafe Astoria is probably Mr. Congeniality for being always nice and considerate of what we need for breakfast all the time. Elevator service is also commendable with Roland who remembers the guest floors fast and greets us with a positive attitude everyday with Jomarie. Those that need improvement are their room service and housekeeping. Servers should double check the food before delivering to avoid repeating daily forgotten instructions. Those in room service need to have a checklist so that they don't forget to provide the amenities in the room and avoid excusing themselves by saying there are no toilet paper rolls left. We wish they invest in training their staff, go for soundproof rooms, and improve their breakfast/menu options.

We had a wonderful stay at Astoria Plaza in Ortigas. We booked three 2-bedroom suites, and all were clean, spacious, and very comfy. The staff were courteous and very accommodating, especially Ms. Mariah Antazo at the front desk for her excellent service. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet — while the selection was limited, the food was delicious. Highly recommended!
