Excellent location short walk to the main town
Very nice breakfast lovely staff
Nothing
Walking distance to the town centre. Ample parking. Room was clean and well equipped. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
No breakfast
Hosts were absolutely wonderful, great to chat to and extremely helpful.
Possibly could be a place to hang wet coat but genuinely had everything we needed.
Nice and close to town
Need shelves in the bathroom
Stayed here on many occasions and in our opinion, the best accommodation around. Conveniently situated for the town . Clean , hosts friendly and welcoming, parking a plus.
Nothing all was exceptional
Great pool for the summer
We had the top floor room, no.22 and it had a lovely view of the marina! The room was spacious and clean. We spilled some food on the bedding and the owner Steven was incredibly understanding.
The live bands from 4 to 6 very good
Up a big hill from the town
Beds were amazing and location was central to what we needed
Very friendly lovely breakfast great choice parking great value for money walking distance to see front highly recommended 👍
You get what you pay for, this was cheap and cheerful, your typical seaside hotel stuck in the 1980's. The room was ok, the bedding was ok, everything about it was just ok, nothing special, cheap bedding, cheap furniture, cheaply furnished with cheap 80's furnishings which had been painted. The shower room had cheap vinyl on the walls instead of actual tiles, the whole thing was just done on the cheap with a real downmarket 80's vibe. However to be fair, the manager was polite and friendly, no hassles, the room was clean. Although nowadays I take my own pillows and a sleeping bag, as I find the bedding cheap and uncomfortable in most hotels at this price and it was a budget price. Can't believe that whilst there was a kettle and tea cups in the room, you had to pay downstairs for any tea or coffee, which I thought was a bit penny-pinching. In the basement of the Hotel there was a bar open to the public and they played loud music until about 10pm, which you could hear in your room, this was Saturday night. The walls were also so thin that you could hear people talking in the corridor and doors banging all the time, so very little sound proofing. We were literally a five minute walk from the seafront, so great location and they also had parking, so it was easy to park our car and walk to the seafront. No sea views though as it's tucked behind other buildings. All in you get what you pay for and this was exactly what I was expecting for the price!
With a little bit of money and effort it could be brought into the 21st century, it doesn't have to be all modern and shiny, you can actually furnish rooms quite cheaply with quality vintage furnishings and create a theme for each room. Wood chip on the wall and painted furniture are dated and smack of lack of care or of taste! Give people a few teas bags and sachets of sugar & coffee in their room, you're talking of a few pence, penny pinching never works and puts people off.
Comfortable newly decorated bedroom with a sea view, excellent homemade breakfast and car parking had a pub attached providing live music at the weekend
The experience was great and the staff were polite and accommodating.
There was a fair bit of wall bubbling in the rooms. Plus some of the balconies facing the landward side are in a serious state of disrepair.
