Turned up with me and my partners in one room and parents in a different room
First thing went to have a shower in my room shower was not working could not change the temp was scolding hot called reception said they would speak to the manager, hadn’t heard anything then called back call was directed to the manager who pretty much called us a liar and said it does work without even coming to see it (shower did not work) spoke to reception again said we can’t change room but can have a room which had just been vacated but we couldn’t swap to it as was not clean.
Parents room single bed mattress springs were completely broken so was a very uncomfortable sleep
Breakfast in the morning, 8:15 am and they already ran out of tomatoes even though the hotel is not a busy hotel
Very poor experience with clear lack of care from manager and staff
Also no food in the evening as “change in management” but was not advertised anywhere before booking this hotel

A clean and comfortable room at a good rate
Pros:

The fundamentals were sound. Clean spacious room, clean, comfortable bed, bathroom and shower were clean, water was hot, water pressure was ok, everything was in a good state of refurbishment. TV in the room I had this time, in the main building, was larger than the TVs in the annex rooms. Breakfast was ok, and it now starts at 0715 rather than 0730, which actually makes all the difference to us workers. It is in a nice quiet, dare I say it charming, village. Ample free car parking. Staff are friendly.

Cons:

When you read the other reviews and scores, it tends to let itself down on infuriating minor details, rather than fundamentals. For example during my stay the housekeeping was hit and miss. On one day the housekeeping was missed altogether, on the other days the bed was always made, but the hospitality tray may or may not get replenished. I got biscuits on 2 days but not the others, I got bottled water on one day, the bin didn't get empted at all, I ran low on toilet paper and had to ask downstairs for extra. That sort of thing. For many people, me included, none of these are deal breakers, especially considering the room rates for the area, but in my opinion its this sort of stuff that is getting it a lower overall rating than maybe it should get.

Hi ha aparcament gratuït. I l'esmorzar és prou complet i bo.

Cons:

Els matalassos són molt incòmodes. Impossible dormir, es noten totes les molles. Neteja 0, ens vam trobar dues calces brutes dins el calaix de la tauleta. Un desastre. Personal d'atenció molt borde i maleducat.

The location was central for visiting The Cotswolds, it had rural charm & hospitality.
Breakfast was served on warm plates & delicious. The staff were attentive.

Cons:

We went with another couple - our friend being a plumber found it difficult to sleep with the sound of the pipes in his room. Every time a shower, tap or toilet was used the pipes rattled.
