I’ve just returned from a 10-day stay at the PuLi in Shanghai, and I have to say it was outstanding. I travel extensively and rarely take the time to write hotel reviews, but this place truly deserves recognition. It’s a complete oasis right in the middle of the city.

Every member of staff was incredibly welcoming, consistently friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. A particular standout was Kevin from the concierge team. Without his help, I wouldn’t have achieved half of what I did during my stay. He’s easily one of the most attentive and dedicated concierges I’ve encountered in years. He was even available on WeChat whenever I needed assistance, regardless of whether he was on shift.

The PuLi was a wonderful and tranquil base for our second short stay in Shanghai and the welcome experience was incredible. All of the staff were very attentive throughout the stay and were so quick to help with any queries we had. We were able to fit in a massage in the Spa which was truly out of this world! The Long Bar also makes a cracking Vesper Martini - and the rooms were very comfortable! The location is very convenient, close to Jing'an Temple with lots of shopping nearby, and walkable to Anfu/Wukang Road areas with lots of options for drinks, coffee and food, as well as boutique shopping. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay, and the concierge Mike made it unforgettable. Very friendly, with perfect gastronomy recommendations. Many thanks again!

Puli Shanghai is like my family's home away from home. It speaks multitudes that much of the staff has been there throughout the last decade that my family has been staying here. Always good to see familiar faces like Mike, William, and Kevin on the concierge team. And the guest services team including Hank and the director Camille make us feel so welcome and comfortable. We are always well taken care of, and our needs met, as they anticipate thoughtfully in advance how to make our stay exceptional. The spa and gym is also an excellent amenity. Jennifer and her team provide excellent service to help us relax and keep in shape. Bravo and many thanks, Puli team!

I have been going to the Puli for 15 years.
This time was particular for one point: I lost my passport dring my stay in Shanghai, and the Concierge team has been so supportive. A special thank to Cecilia within the team who spent a whole afternoon looking for my passport, found it and gave it bzck to me with professionalism and kindness.

The PuLi is one of our favorite stays ever. Beautifully understated elegance in a prime location. The concierge staff was great and William Hu set up amazing tours and dinners for us. We hope to return to Shanhai and, if we do, we will definitely choose the PuLi again.

We were extremely impressed with the service at The Puli. Mike, the manager, responded to my email swiftly, helped us shape our plans, and even arranged for someone to assist us with navigating the metro and finding a mahjong venue. Celine was also consistently charming and helpful.

Quite simply, it was the best service I have ever received in an upmarket hotel — and I have stayed in many over the years.

The hotel was beautiful, amazing location, great bar and the service was excellent. The concierge William was most helpful and made some great recommendations, you can absolutely count on him. Nice sound system in the room and the spa is a real highlight.

My wife booked a birthday staycation at The Puli and it was excellent.Camille the Guest Experience Manger and Cici the receptionist were warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, They upgraded us to a room overlooking Jing’An Temple, which made the stay even more special.The hotel has a real sense of calm the moment you walk in, despite being in central Shanghai. We’ve stayed several times over the past six years and it remains our favourite city escape. I would highly recommend.
