First time to Costa Rica- definitely not the last because of el silencio del campo!
Pros:

Right from the get go we were blown away with the service at silencio del campo. We were greeted with a strawberry smoothie, and when they found out that we would miss the morning breakfast because of an early tour they sent sandwiches and trays of fruit to our room that night that way our kids could still have something to eat! Everything was clean. There was a sloth behind our room. The hot springs were beautiful. 10 STARS!!

Nothing. Everything went perfectly.

Fabulous family hotel
Pros:

The thermal hot springs on site were fabulous!! We spent whole afternoons relaxing in them, with kids 8,6 and a 6 month old. All adored them.

The on-site farm was also brilliant and a great activity for the kids - we milked a cow, collected eggs and had pony rides. The children were ecstatic.

Cons:

The breakfast could be improved, perhaps with natural yoghurt as an additional option.

best stay in costa rica!
Pros:

location not too far from downtown, but far enough from the busy noise. the hotel has beautiful garden, farms and lots of animals to see and really peaceful.the hot springs was really really good. on the first day we lucky enough to see the full mountain for 5mins before the clouds covering it again. the staff was really really nice. it was best hotel we stay in costa rica and we already want to come back!

Cons:

nothing - but we wish to stay longer!!

Amazing hotel
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful, and the service was exceptional. They also have a farm at the hotel with a bunch of animals. You can milk a cow, pick up eggs, very entertaining for kids and family. This is exactly the kind of hotel we were hoping to find in Costa Rica. We had a wonderful time.

Pros:

Separate cabins and beautiful gardens with view of Arenal volcano. Hot spring was a later evening treat.

Cons:

Lots of families with small farm for kids. Good for families, maybe not so good for adults traveling sans children. Assume high theft rate as we were kept at check out until house keeping checked our room
That’s a first. Very touristy but manageable area.

Stay here - it’s perfect!!
Pros:

Loved the hot springs and beautiful grounds! Our kids loved seeing all the farm animals. Our rooms were very nice and comfortable. The staff everywhere were very kind and helpful. Hope they don’t change a thing and it stays the same forever. Also amazing free breakfast!

Nice stay with kids
Pros:

Cute little village hotel, with multiple hot springs and also normal swimming pool. The rooms are clean and the garden was luxuriant.
Great place to stay with kids as they have a farm where children can get involved if they want to.
The hotel has a small playground.
We had a double room, with two large beds, big enough to fit 2 adults and 2 children.
We also saw a sloth on the hotel grounds.
