Interesting setting not far from the beach. Good food. Enjoyed the evening meal in the Admiral's Restaurant although having to choose dishes ahead is a little tiresome. Nice terrace for pre-dinner drinks. Fortunately there was a fan in the room but it was still very warm.
Hotel buildings and environs a little tired. Although heatwave was predicted nothing had been done to cool the room down (it was facing south -west!) ahead of our arrival (e.g. closing curtains, putting fan on)
The management should consider installing a window blind as well as curtains to keep the room cooler when the weather is warm. Staff generally pleasant and helpful.

It would be great when time and finances are available to see some work done on the gardens. The photos of the hotel showed lovely gardens but they were very overgrown and the two trees in the front of the hotel blocked the front of the hotel.
