Lovely and clean, spacious , lovely area, food lovely in the club house…lodges great choice

A two day stay but wifi was poor and cleaner missed my room but that I can live with. What I can't is the attitude of the waiter I waited over an hour for food and when I asked him to change the very dirty knife and empty vinegar bottle he just walked away while I was talking then when I called him back he used finger pointing at me? Other people in the restaurant who saw this were calling him very rude and that I should complain. He was also shouting at a large table of golfers to be quiet while he served the food to them.Unbelievable behavior and I do over 160 nights a year in hotels and rarely complain but this was unacceptable.The hotel looked great for golf etc which is a shame that after a hard days work you have to face that. I complained to the Reception but as we know as soon as you leave that probably goes in the bin? The lady next to me who I was chatting to was complaining on the wait and looked shocked by his attitude.Even the reception agreed with me that he is temperamental in his manner but I would call it unacceptable Good luck is all I can say.

Lovely hotel on golf course with refurbished spacious rooms. Nice selection at dinner but the continental breakfast was a bit lacking.

Staff lovely people. Lovely views of the golf course. Food good. Only serve main meals if you’re staying at hotel. If u stay and play golf u get 3 course meal. Bit odd.. bed was very hard. Didn’t sleep to well. Won’t be staying again.

Stayed one night as had business meeting nearby. Location is lovely on the golf course and all the staff were extremely friendly, as were the golfing types which meant it had a really nice vibe. Rooms were nice and spacious. Had a couple of drinks and a meal in the bar - the food is basic bar type fare but very nice and excellent value. My colleague had the vegan burger which she said was excellent. It's all very corporate and so the only thing I would say is it isnt ideal for a romantic type stay but it's not geared toward that. Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend especially if you are thinking about hitting little white balls around a field with a stick or need somehwere close to the A1 for a stopover.

A warm welcome, to a lovely hotel. A really enjoyable stay, and we were delighted that the hotel was warm because the weather wasn’t. The room was large and the bed was fantastically comfortable. All of the staff were extremely kind and professional. Breakfast was delicious. It’s a hotel that you would like to return to, and we will.

Everything was as we would have hoped for in a hotel. We receivedd a warm welcome throughout. All members of staff were extremely friendly and extremely helpful.

Friendly helpful receptionist. Hotel exactly as expected - corporate, simple. Food excellent. Views over the golf course are lovely. Although we were overlooking the car park, we had a very quiet night. Very good value.

I stayed at this hotel overnight and although I am not a golfer I liked the green surroundings and the lakes on the golf course.

Comfortable hotel in a quiet area. Decent breakfast.

Fully met our requirements, to break our journey home from visiting family. In a quiet location, but close to the A1. We were made to feel very welcome. Very comfortable room, we were tired from our journey, slept soundly and awoke to a wonderful view of the golf course. Breakfast was very good and certainly set us up for our day and journey home. Would certainly stay here again in the future.

This was a wonderful find on Hotels.com, The hotel was lovely,the room was spacious and very clean.The staff were really helpful and engaging. We ate in the bar and the food was delicious, breakfast was superb. We are not golfers but have told golfing friends about this little gem. Will definitely go back again soon.

Very clean and good Covid precautions. The reception staff were tremendous.The main disappointment was that, due to Covid restrictions, the breakfast was a full English or nothing. We can’t face a huge meat breakfast so it was nothing. The waitress didn’t even offer anything else. Why can’t an individual box of cereals or a yogurt be given out?

Nice room. But the heating didnt work so i ended up piling another 2 blankets on me and there were cups in the room but no tea and coffee.
