Cebu Parklane International Hotel

This is the most alarming hotel experience I have ever had.
At 2:25 a.m. on 16 February, while my husband and I were asleep, a member of hotel staff knocked quietly and then proceeded to open the door to our room (Room 1512). This was an unauthorised entry. No explanation was provided at the time, and none has been provided since.
This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a serious breach of safety, privacy, and trust. Guests should feel secure in their rooms, especially in the middle of the night. I was fortunate not to be travelling alone or as a vulnerable guest; had this happened to someone elderly or unaccompanied, it could have been genuinely frightening and unsafe.
What makes this situation worse is the hotel’s handling afterward. I raised the issue immediately and was explicitly told by a staff member named Ryan that management would respond the same day. That response never came. I have since checked out, yet it appears the hotel assumed that once I left, the incident would simply be forgotten. It has not been.
I also informed Booking.com, who were similarly advised that the hotel would respond. To date, there has been no acknowledgment, explanation, or accountability from management.
The lack of urgency, communication, and responsibility following such a serious incident is deeply concerning. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values personal safety and basic guest security.

Stayed for 16 nights for business. On arrival Saturday evening after 30 hours of travel I was sent to an incorrect room which already had occupants. Very embarrassing. I was then sent to a 2nd room where I couldn't gain entry. I was then sent to a 3rd corner room 702 with a huge generator directly outside my window and the noise was deafening. No sleep for 2 nights. Onto my 4th room on the 9th floor. 2 floors above the deafening generator. We had an earthquake on the Sunday night. No alarm or evacuation plan. Guests fended for themselves.
Overall this is a budget hotel with hard beds, cheap bed coverings and old fashioned decor. Breakfast each morning was 6am to 10am. It was stone cold whether you arrived early or late. If you arrived at 9 all stations were practically empty. Staff were inept and guests looked after themselves. This is my 3rd business trip since 2023 and this is the worst hotel I've stayed at. Only 1 bar on floor 4 closing at 11pm with kids serving

This is an ok hotel if you are looking for a cheap and decent place to stay. The hotel staff are generally courteous and helpful. The interns (and there are a lot) definitely need more training.

Rooms are refurbished but are clean enough and very sleepable. Airconditioning is cold. Wifi is ok.

We got a room and a function room for a corp event. My biggest comment was the food quality both during breakfast and our lunch at the event. Food was cold, dry, and simply unintiving. Carinderia food tastes better. There was no food warmer and everything tasted bland. Even the coffee tasted bad.

Will be returning easily for future visits and will make sure family also comes too. The staff is amazing and prompt on any asks.
Place is 5 minute walk to a mall if needed or any place to eat.

Great place. Staff was excellent. Would highly recommend this place.

I had recently stayed at the Parklane hotel for one month. I have stayed here many times before and always had an enjoyable and positive experience. This time was no different. The hotel room is clean and quiet. I am a light sleeper and there for I am easily awaken by noise. One of the things that is usually too noisy for me at many hotels is the air conditioner. Not this one at Parklane. I was able to set it at the lowest setting and still maintain a very cool and comfortable temperature. Other amenities in the room include a safe box to store my valuables, a small refrigerator to keep drinks or water cold, and an electric hot water kettle to boil water for coffee or tea quickly. My only two complaints would be that the bed is slightly too firm for me and the free wifi can be slow at times. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and definitely would stay here again. Oh, one other thing, Ayala Center Mall is just a few minutes away.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was amazing and the facilities are perfect. Great location and veey close to food and tons of shopping. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared. We will definitely stay here again and without hesitation we recommend this place. Staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating.

Like it a lot except for traffic. Should include free breakfast.
