One to miss

The location.

Parking was very awkward, The room was awful, the worst we have ever stayed in. Certainly not a deluxe room that we had booked and paid for. The duvet was badly stained. Bathroom windows were a disgrace. There was window sealer hanging down on the bedroom window.The whole room was rough and needed a complete renovation. Do not let them put you in room 520.. Evening meals are served at 6 pm only, with a menu choice of 4 items per course.That was not mentioned when booking. Breakfast served until 9.30 am, and was very basic. The toaster was turned off at 9.35am.10am check OUT. was awkward, simply to Early. Reception was mostly unmanned, There was no one there to check us out, so I just left the key card on the side. Do not be misled by the ADULT ONLY. It should read senior citizens only.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone under 60 years of age. We will not be returning.

Weekend at the Clifton park hotel
Pros:

The staff were friendly and accommodating, the facilities were good, the food was good and the rooms are comfortable

Cons:

The only thing I would mark the hotel down on is the amount of stairs we had to climb to get to our room but that is partially my fault for not asking for a ground floor room

Pros:

Pool was a welcome reprieve from the heat, as was the aircon in one of the lounges. Everywhere spotless and staff/management were so friendly and helpful. Would stay here again but in a superior room. Lovely lounges and outdoor seating area. Drinks reasonable.

Cons:

The room was stifling hot (hotel can’t help the weather, be fine in winter), no breeze, no aircon. Housekeeping did find us a small fan but didn’t do much. We were room 510 (not refurbished) and it’s a bit dated. No plugs beside beds for phones.

Le personnel de l’hôtel est incroyablement gentil et souriant, en particulier à la réception où nous avons été très bien accueillis. Nous les remercions encore chaleureusement.L’hôtel est très joli, il a gardé le charme de l’ancien. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouvent plusieurs salons où l’on peut se détendre, boire un verre ou manger des snacks et Fish and chips. La décoration de l’hôtel est soignée et élégante, dans un style purement britannique qui a été très dépaysant pour nous. Le grand escalier dans l’entrée est magnifique. Le séjour a été très agréable.

Cons:

La salle de bain était un peu petite. Le débit d’eau dans la douche était vraiment faible.

Cons:

The property is past it’s used by date. Each decade is probably witnessed some small upgrades and maintenance but at some point Pull the whole thing down and start a fresh. Everything was just sub sanded.

Great short stay for the Lytham Festival.
