If a room isn't fit for habitation, don't rent it out!
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

So you want a review? I've got one for you...
Our tale begins about a week before my scheduled stay, apparently this hotel is used as a halfway house by the local council for whatever reason and as you can imagine, it doesn't bode well for the property
A week before my visit (according to staff) they had a maniac in who took it upon themselves to trash the room, holes in the walls, holes in the bathroom door, light fixtures pulled out and for the coup de grace of their assault on the room? They had attempted to rip out the sink

Now, any sane individual would have the forethought to not rent out a room such as this but not Zahoor, not our gracious host who simply rented out the room as is with a bucket behind the sink and a solitary sponge to help soak up all the excess water leaking out the back.
Which coincidentally is the straw that broke the proverbial camel's as if the dingy walls and rancid air from smokers ignoring the "no smoking" rule and through that dank heavy cluster of stench the bedsheets! Where you will get a chance to play a rousing game of "WHAT'S THAT STAIN?"
Had I not have complained to the point where I got another room which honestly was better by a small margin, and if you consider at this point the bar is low. The shower in the new room wasn't working!

Now! Don't bother selecting what room you want, because they will just outright ignore you, I selected and paid for a twin room, you know, two separate beds! Not to worry, Fawlty Towers over here will simply reject a room at random as they gave me the key card to a double room and told me "There are no twin rooms left"

To summarise, I feel ripped off, luckily it was only so I could rest my head for a singular night but I do feel bad for the couple that got the room originally assigned to me
No common courtesy, the right thing to do would have been to set up that poor couple in a different hotel entirely fully paid for
Instead?

Terrible hotel experience.
Pros:

Rooms were dirty, wallpaper peeling off, window catches broken. This is without doubt the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Shower was filthy and generally run down. Keep clear.

Not as good as it should be for the price.
Pros:

I liked the on site free parking. It was also a quiet stay. The location was good for where we were travelling to. Room smelt ok when we entered. Interesting old fashionned building and reception, i liked.

Cons:

Felt staff were interupted when we arrived and gave a quick garbled check in and uninterested check out. Hair dryer didn't work in the room and PAT test was out of date. TV remote was broke (but covered in fragile tape) and the TV wasn't tuned/couldn't be tuned by the butons on the back of the TV. Chocolate rice crispies on top shelf of wardrobe a bit odd!

Room disgusting. Had to leave for my own safety. It was more like a homeless shelter, witness drug taking. Shocking!!!
Pros:

I felt unsafe, it was dirty, smelly and witnessed drug taking on the property, sure it used for accommodation for homeless people. The room and hotel in general was so bad I had to leave. I wish I’d listened to the reviews. This place is not fit for paying customers. I left after 10 minutes and booked into another hotel where I stole to another customer who had also left the previous hotel and witnessed prostitution!
Never again, it needs to be closed down!
