I expected something small, as I booked the cheapest room because that's all I can afford in England but this was smaller than small. I'm sure in the old days it was the cloakroom.
Perfect location for everything in Canterbury and a short walk from the station.
Comfortable room and bed. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Nice bar on the ground floor offering 10% discount on drinks.
There were a few little things in the room that should have been picked up on.... Kettle had a lot of build up in it... it must be a hard water area, likewise taps and shower head. Handle on the inside of the shower was missing.
Would have been nice to have a small table and chair, there was space in the room. But nothing that spoiled the stay.
Location, staff and breakfast
Nothing
Right in the centre of Canterbury, staff friendly.
Bed was a bit like sleeping on a board.
Great location
No parking on site
Śniadanie było średnie
Brakowało warzyw i jajek
Superb location, welcoming and helpful staff, authentic aesthetic, tasty breakfast was included
Would prefer to have a flexible shower over a bath, and a chair in my room
Bien 👍
Location was excellent as was the continental breakfast. The room was bijou but we had expected that as it was advertised as a small double.
Booking.com indicated that the hotel had parking, which it did not. The hotel website indicated that there was parking until you looked at 'further details' where it stated that parking was off site. The car park was close to the hotel but cost £16 a day which is not something that we had expected from the information on the two websites. Not very acceptable in our opinion.
Central location but don’t bother booking this place!!!
Where do I begin??? The place is like a ghost town, understaffed and I felt sorry for this guy. It’s a very dirty place, very old fashioned, in desperate need of a renovation, my neck and back hurts from the awfully old and uncomfortable pillows and mattress. Now onto the super dysfunctional showers and toilets: the showers are useless and the toilet doesn’t flush, the sink is impossible to do anything like washing your face or hands… As for the “included breakfast” it’s an absolute scam as we went down and there was nothing left but a slice of toast and filter coffee so we had to go elsewhere for food. Now the only member of staff in this place is an absolute mess, but cannot blame him, he looks overwhelmed by everything there. Please save yourself and don’t make the same mistake!!!!
Excellent location, easy check in. Good continental breakfast. Expected amenities in room. Iron and ironing board available on request.
Issues with resolving problems raised.
We stayed the first weekend in and May, which was warm for the time of year. The entire time the radiator in the room was on high. Several times we requested it be turned off, and were told each time or had been sorted and the radiator would go off. It did not go off and the room remained very warm, which was compounded by the weather and the inability to open the window to the fullest. It made for a very uncomfortable night with limited sleep.
Établissement bien situé, propre, pas de bruit , calme, personnel très agréable et accueillant, serviable. Je recommande cet établissement
Tout était bien
