Hanoi Lake View Hotel & Travel

Ok

We thought that when we payed 900 sek per night we would get quite decent hotel for Hanoi standards, but this hotel did not meet them. The beds had not real sheets only a thin cloth, which makes the cold air from the AC difficult to cope with. Also the AC was not easy to set as you had to change the temperature then turn it off and on for the changes to apply.

The breakfast was quite good and during breakfast it was clear where the name came from.

The value for money is incredible. Breakfast is including and is very good! I have the buffer and Pho. The location was great - very easy to get everywhere. Rooms were big and clean.

The staff were very kind, especially Mr Alex who was very helpful and gave us map and suggested things to do and where to eat! The room was lovely and very reasonably priced , and the location was perfect, you could walk right out onto the lake!

This is simply not what you get in the pictures. The 24/7 reception is closed and dark at night with no bell to ring. The breakfast nook does not look like it has been painted in the last 10 years let alone cleaned, there is no bar/lounge and the room does not look like the pictures. I highly question the 'exceptional' rating and the 10/10 ratings this place got. Its a 4/10 or a 5/10 being honest and fair

Worst hotel I have been to.
Rooms has no wall to separate from corridor, only a glass window with an opaque plastic paper.
No windows, only view to a literal garbage place they use behind my room.
Woke up without electricity in the morning and decided to leave the place.
Staff refused to acknowledge and to refund.

The location is excellent, it’s very close to everything like shops and the Sword Lake as well as the Old Quarter. Breakfast and service were ok. However the room is very small, bathroom is literally inside the room with a tiny space for toilet.
