Hotels.com tried to contact them for a cancellation and were unable to get a hold of anyone. Will never book here again.
We had a great stay. The rooms we stayed in were beautifully renovated and very clean. Apparently they just opened the end of November 2025 so they are still working out minor updates but nothing that ruin our stay. The staff was so kind and helpful. The manager Martin, and front desk staff Stacey and Carlena made sure our stay was comfortable and were very nice and kind. We would definitely come and stay again.
YES
Nice and new! Friendly staff
Great stay. Friendly staff. Comfy beds.
The site was closed by the DOH. Our cancelation was very inconvenient, but honestly, if the DOH stepped in you can bet the offence was not the first and the situation must be bad. Very hard to rate a site that isn't even permitted to operate.
Staff was very rude
Convenient location
Hotel was closed when I got there, did not even get a courtesy call or email to let me know that my family and I would have to make other arrangements. University Inn’s management offers a poor customer service experience at best.
The reservation was canceled
Hotel was shut down
When we arrived to check in, we found that the hotel was CLOSED.
It had been closed for 10 days.
It had been closed by the health department for "sanitary" reasons, according to signs posted on the door.
We called Expedia & will get a credit in key cash, but had to pay out of pocket at a different hotel at 5:30 pm.
Expedia said the hotel had not notified them of this closure.
Only good thing about this stay was the amazing staff- the check in clerk was in a very tough spot as the hotel over booked and two of our rooms were dropped - she helped us get a 2nd room after a room left early. The maintainance gentlman bustted butt and made us comfortable with bringing extra bed. Kids were running wild well after midnight - no enforcement of quiet hours!
staff couldn’t find reservation, cracked walls and broken toilet
There was no mattress pad and when we asked for one, they didn’t know what we were talking about. Also no soap and no coffee setup refresh in the room and when we asked for those, they said they would take care of it but never did. As a no brand hotel, it definitely lacked the amenities that even low budget hotels would normally provide.
friendly staff, large room, lots of parking very reasonable price compared to neighbouring hotels
If "mid" was a hotel, this would be it. Overall, not bad for the price. Definitely not an upscale hotel, but an OK place to stay with lots of dining options nearby.
The negatives: Breakfast was sad, no trash can in room, hotel was noisy at night, pillows are sad, hotel feels a little danky
The positives: Staff was very nice and helpful, location is great, price is not too bad, large beds
Very disappointed in the pool closure, which was not stated online, and was the reason we picked the hotel. Also, the lobby smelled of body odor during check in, breakfast, and check out.
The hotel definitely needs some update. The carpet had visible dirty stains and had a musty smell. We stayed for 1 night to attend Binghamton's open house and we chose the hotel for its reasonable rate.
Awe full breakfast.
