The Ivy Hotel San Juan

First of all, I booked the Ivy Hotel NOT the HiBird! Once you book they send you a tiny email after they have already sent you 2 others with the PICTURE of the Ivy and a no refundable note. The Ivy hotel is closed for “renovations”. Surprise surprise! No note about this on hotel.com website. No note about the construction! If if wasn’t for the staff I would’ve been LIVID!!! EVERY morning banging from construction as EARLY as 6:30am!!!!! Terrible! We couldn’t get ANY decent sleep! I hated the whole situation! The hotel we were redirected to was decent looking is all I can say

Amazing!

My main complaint is the too early check out of 10 as opposed to most places which have a 11 or 12 check out time. Also the check in of 4 is pretty late. The room I was in has a shower door that doesn’t seem to fit as it doesn’t close. I can see a guest inadvertently try to close it where it could break. This could be dangerous because the shower door is glass. But the rooms were very nice.

Hector was really nice and accommodating. However, room service was awful, we were there 4 days and the room was never properly cleaned

We stayed here for 6 days. Staff very helpful and always greeted you when you walked in/out. also, within walking distance to stores, restaurants, and the beach. Will be staying here again for our next trip !

The Ivy is such a BEAUTIFUL spot. The hotel is in a very walkable area surrounded by many different food places and bars. The beach is like a 5 minute walk which is not bad. Z, the front desk host, was soooo pleasant!! He took the time to answer all my questions and he made me feel very welcome. I had a great time and I love the hotel. Also, the beds are very big. The room was cleaned daily and it stayed stocked. I would stay at the Ivy again!! 10/10

Love the location , quiet room and decor. Only thing is you have to find parking on street , sometimes it is tricky .all else great .

The property does not have parking and this can be difficult

Everything was going fine until the Saturday when the cleaner came to clean……socks and an earphone was under the bed from the start to end of my stay there and the sheets were all stained…….also it need atleast a mini fridge and microwave……other than that the staff was lovely and helpful.

It’s really safe especially at night because they lock the door of the hotel so you do not have anything to worry about. Small, nice and quiet.

The rooms could have been cleaned better. The staff was nice, but the overall accommodations don’t mirror the reviews and advertising.

Great staff and very clean ans modern hotel.

The hotel needs a lot of updating and mirrors should be added in all rooms. The hotel staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel for five nights and found the location to be quite convenient. The area is very walkable and offers a variety of dining options, which was a definite plus. Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not meet my expectations. The towels and bed sheets in the room were stained, which was quite off-putting. Despite requesting room cleaning by the third night, the service was lacking; only the towels were picked up, and no new roll of toilet paper was provided. On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, given the overall experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your stay.

This was the perfect spot..... Close to everything.. Bars, restaurants, beach etc. Only thing is your room won't be clean unless you request this service of place the tag on the door..

Was great, clean, the guy on the recepción in the morning was exceptional really helpful, kind, did a plan of our trip in a second. All other very nice too.
