Oasia Resort Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

It was a really disappointing stay. There were issue after issue - the flush wasn't working, the curtains wouldn't close properly, and there was a high-pitched machine-like noise that went on continuously for more than three hours. It was very obvious that the noise wasn't coming from another room, but the staff simply dismissed it, saying someone was using a dryer. Honestly, it didn't sound anything like a dryer, and it's hard to believe someone would be using one continuously for three hours.

We even had to change our room because of the initial issues, but unfortunately, the new room wasn't problem-free either.

The service was equally disappointing. We had to call three times just to get someone to check the flush and twice for the curtain issue. While the reception staff were polite, the rest of the staff seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. They had such unfriendly expressions that you genuinely didn't feel comfortable approaching them for help.

With a pram there is no pram access into the hotel, but we did receive help on the occasion

Rooms are getting a little old (on the third floor). Bathroom flooded twice from faulty piping from the basins. Air-conditioning was either freezing cold at 27 degrees or stuffy at 28. If possible stick to floor two. We did request for this prior to arrival, as we stayed in a room on floor two our first time and was the reason for returning, unfortunately the hotel does not seem able to tend to any requests. Early check in was also met with the same generic email back saying they would try but ultimately they do not. Disappointing considering returning customers and will probably try a different hotel for our next visit.

The cleaning was not done till late in the afternoon or evening. The AC in our room had condensation issue and we were told to make the temperature higher but that made the room warm and unable to sleep for us.

Overall the staff wasn’t that proactive.
1. When I checked in, the staff didn’t show me the QR code that would get us on the monorail free. I had to ask after paying for one way then realized when other hotel guests told me.
2. I stayed two nights and wanted some ice. Realized the phone didn’t work and I walked down to tell the reception the phone didn’t work. The staff told me to come back in the morning when I headed out. When we came back, the phone still didn’t work.
3. The hot water machine wasn’t plugged in but they hid the plug. I tried to boil water for 10 minutes then realized that the plug wasn’t plugged in.

We were a family of 4, but every time the room was cleaned, only 3 towels were provided. We had to call reception every day. The QR code for Sentosa expired during our stay, and we were not told. I caused stress while trying to re-enter the island. Nothing major and easily solved, but these are things the hotel could do better

Room looks dated, no soundproofing of room

A few design flaws could be improved. The bathroom tap spills water all around the sink area, and some doors do not close completely due to poor design. Additionally, there are not enough electrical sockets, so you will need a splitter if you have multiple devices.

The AC was a little too efficient, we didn't seem able to adjust it for a more comfortable level.
