Fabulous hotel. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the evening happy hour was a lovely way to meet other guests, share some stories and tips and relax before heading out for the evening. The room was spacious and comfortable. We will be back

The location is between Skyline and Queenstown CBD. Very convenience! The bed is so comfortable and the staffs are very helpful! I will stay again when I visit Queenstown in the future!

A great location in central Queenstown.
We thought it was bad value for money. The rooms were very dated with bathrooms desperately in need of renovation. The first room we were given had no view and was looking directly into a wall. The staff then gave us another room which was smaller but had a view of the mountains which we appreciated. The breakfast was basic, the coffee pods were terrible and power boards with glowing orange lights near the bed sums up the attention to detail at this hotel. A very disappointing stay.
We stayed at The Dairy Hotel for a week. The location was perfect in central Queenstown literally 2 minutes from the main shops, restaurants etc. Staff were extremely friendly and so kind. The hotel was clean and tidy with well equipped rooms with all that you need; toiletries, iron, towels etc and came with a mini bar of soft drinks and treats. We loved the daily happy hour in the cosy lounge where complimentary wine, beer and snacks were on offer - such a great idea. We had no issue with noise at night and loved the fact the hotel was so close to key pick up points for day trips/excursions. Hot tub in hotel was great and has an amazing view of the Remarkables. All in all, we had a lovely stay and will return when back in Queenstown.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Dairy Private Hotel, Queenstown. Everything about it felt special from the moment we arrived.
The decor is just gorgeous—quaint, stylish, and full of charm. Every space, inside and out, feels thoughtfully designed and warm, almost like staying in a beautifully curated home rather than a hotel.
Little touches made a big difference too—the free snacks and mini bar were such a treat, especially the real milk (yes, proper fresh milk with cream on top… a small detail but somehow unforgettable!).
Our room was well equipped with everything we needed (loved the Netflix & chill vibe) and the location honestly couldn’t be better. You’re just steps from the centre of town, the Skyline cable car, Kiwi Park, and Lake Wakatipu. And if you love coffee, you’re spoiled—literally 10 steps away is incredible coffee at Bespoke Kitchen.
The staff were genuinely lovely—friendly, helpful, and easygoing—and both check-in and check-out were seamless from start to finish.

There’s a delicious continental breakfast each morning and happy hour in the afternoon. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Location of hotel is well located, below the gondola and a few flights of stairs (or ramp) down to Ferburger.
Contact ahead to reserve a carpark as they are limited.
