Better options in Queenstown
Pros:

The positives: Location is great - walkable to everything downtown in Queensland. Parking at hotel is extra ($20/day) and probably should be reserved in advance as it is limited and a squeeze to get vehicles in. Happy hour wine, beer appreciated. However, the hotel is in need of a total upgrade internally - grubby carpets throughout, poor lighting in our room ( bulbs weak and/ or missing), toilet seat fell off twice in 3 nights we were there, breakfasts just about OK but tables fill up early. Our room felt like being in a basement - street level with blackout blinds down. Left disappointed and surprised by the ‘boutique luxury’ self description and would not recommend.

Cosy and unique
Pros:

Great location and service! I stayed here with my adult daughter pre and post a hike on the Milford Track. We received the most lovely and personalised service during our two stays. We loved the cosy feel of the hotel, the gorgeous breakfasts, hot tub and the happy hour, where we have brilliant conversations with people from all over the world every evening. If you like personal and unique stays, this is the place to be.

Small town boutique hotel
Pros:

the location of the hotel is central and within walking distance of the restaurants and shops - as long as you don't mind the noise from the people going up/down to the gondola. The rooms are tiny and need a bit of updating (i.e. old and shabby carpets, shower over bath) but the hotel is quirky and has the boutique feel. We didn't use the free happy hour but its a nice touch. Breakfast is a basic continental affair.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel in Queenstown
Pros:

Lovely boutique hotel just above the busy part of Queenstown centre. Very comfortable and well designed room and a friendly atmosphere due to the free drinks and nibbles every day from 5-6pm. We also enjoyed the hot tub.

I highly recommend the Dairy Hotel when visiting Queenstown!
Pros:

The Dairy Hotel was delightful! I highly recommend it when visiting Queenstown. They offer happy hour every evening, which we thoroughly enjoyed and the common areas were comfortable and inviting. The staff were very accommodating. We arrived late, but they had everything prepared for us and even had refreshments waiting for us in our room. Doug packed a take away breakfast for us because we had an early morning excursion. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Queenstown. Five stars!!

Pros:

Cons:

Het ontbijt is elke dag hetzelfde. Leuk een ham-kaas croissant; maar niet 4 ochtenden achter elkaar. Qua ei was alleen gekookt een optie. Bakken deden ze niet.
Maar geen kritiek! Alleen feedback :-)
Echt wat n leuk hotel!

Excellent hotel, kind staff, loved our stay
Pros:

Our room (#8) was great and we had a fabulous view of the Remarkables. All the employees were genuinely warm and kind, and caring. They went above and beyond to accommodate our need for gluten-free breakfast options. More like a B&B and less corporate hotel feel. Location is super convenient for the gondola and the bus stop for TeAnau and other destinations.

Cons:

It’s a little bit of an uphill climb from the lakefront, but definitely worth it as long as you are not carrying heavy luggage. The promoted picture of their room with overly ornate wallpaper was a little scary to us, but our room was very tastefully decorated and we shouldn’t have hesitated.

An overnight break in Queenstown
Pros:

Clean and tidy but bathroom very budget and cramped. Overall good but even for Queenstown it’s very expensive for what you get.
