We have stayed here before quite a few times and is lovely, but the price has gone up considerably
The room was large with a medium sized bathroom. The decor in the hotel was very groovy and pleasing. They have a free happy hour with wine, beer and nibbles between 5 and 6 in the common area which again very pleasing. There is also free tea, coffee and sweets in this area.
The bathroom needs a little renovation.
Right at town centre, room facilities are complete with very good beverages and snacks. Comfortable stay
Home feel in excellent location.
Great location, very quiet and comfortable room. Happy hour! Pre book your parking spot!
Lovely, small and cosy hotel, great location for walking in to Queenstown. Happy hour with nibbles nice touch also.
Thanks to staff, especially the gentleman who was especially helpful.
Lovely hotel friendly staff overall a great place to stay in Queenstown
Well maintained heritage feel. Comfortable bed and luxury inclusions. Loved the happy hour to meet other guests. Very generous with drinks and nibbles.
Shower over bath but that’s a personal preference.
The positives: Location is great - walkable to everything downtown in Queensland. Parking at hotel is extra ($20/day) and probably should be reserved in advance as it is limited and a squeeze to get vehicles in. Happy hour wine, beer appreciated. However, the hotel is in need of a total upgrade internally - grubby carpets throughout, poor lighting in our room ( bulbs weak and/ or missing), toilet seat fell off twice in 3 nights we were there, breakfasts just about OK but tables fill up early. Our room felt like being in a basement - street level with blackout blinds down. Left disappointed and surprised by the ‘boutique luxury’ self description and would not recommend.
Great location and service! I stayed here with my adult daughter pre and post a hike on the Milford Track. We received the most lovely and personalised service during our two stays. We loved the cosy feel of the hotel, the gorgeous breakfasts, hot tub and the happy hour, where we have brilliant conversations with people from all over the world every evening. If you like personal and unique stays, this is the place to be.
the location of the hotel is central and within walking distance of the restaurants and shops - as long as you don't mind the noise from the people going up/down to the gondola. The rooms are tiny and need a bit of updating (i.e. old and shabby carpets, shower over bath) but the hotel is quirky and has the boutique feel. We didn't use the free happy hour but its a nice touch. Breakfast is a basic continental affair.
Lovely boutique hotel just above the busy part of Queenstown centre. Very comfortable and well designed room and a friendly atmosphere due to the free drinks and nibbles every day from 5-6pm. We also enjoyed the hot tub.
The Dairy Hotel was delightful! I highly recommend it when visiting Queenstown. They offer happy hour every evening, which we thoroughly enjoyed and the common areas were comfortable and inviting. The staff were very accommodating. We arrived late, but they had everything prepared for us and even had refreshments waiting for us in our room. Doug packed a take away breakfast for us because we had an early morning excursion. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Queenstown. Five stars!!
