The host was very friendly and reachable all the time
The location (Sciavonia)
The breakfast location
The toilet seat was not properly secured and the cleaning lady did not report this to the landlord.
The room was humid when we arrived (I expect the landlord to heat and dehumidify the room a couple of days prior the guests arrive)
Very low water pressure in the shower which doesn't allow you to wash your hair properly
No drying towels to dry the dishes and cutlery
No paper towels (Cleanex), as it is usually a standard setup
An insecure ladder to the upper stair (For sure not industry compliant, rather self-made)
The room was architecturally authentic, and they provided gluten-free croissants to suit my diet. The air conditioning was quite efficient, although the lighting was bright enough to interfere with sleep quality.
As a traveler who travels around 6 months a year, I can say that the value for money was poor. Finding the hotel address was difficult, as the room was just down the street from the address on Google Maps, but the host didn't warn us about this, so we had to walk around a few times with our luggage. The host assured us we could easily find public parking, but we couldn't, so we ended up walking a long way with our luggage. When we got to the room, the bathroom sink was off. We contacted the host and learned how to turn it on; it would have been better if it had been on. There was no soap, but they provided it later. The fact that they only provided water and shampoo for one night for a couple staying two nights is, in my opinion, a sign of poor hotel quality. If we were staying two nights, everything should have been for two nights. On the other hand, because the room was on the street (you can enter the room directly from the street), we heard all the outside noise until a certain hour. There were two remotes for the TV, but there was no instructions on how to use it, so we couldn't use it. Breakfast was advertised as a typical Italian breakfast of croissants, juice, coffee, and fruit, but they only served one croissant and one coffee at a cafe 50 meters from the hotel. While I appreciated that it suited my diet, it wasn't particularly filling. Ultimately, I don't think it's worth the money. P.S: Unless you have specific business in the city, it's on a hilltop, and the roads are very narrow, so consider staying elsewhere. We booked this hotel because it was close to Taranto on the map, but we also regretted the lack of parking and driving.
Arredamento, pulizia, posizione
Difficoltà parcheggio nei dintorni
It was spotless clean, nicly decorated and the bed has been very comfortable.
Location is really in the middle of the town
There is not really a window in the room. The front door serves as a window.., however as it is groundfloor you cannot really leave it open. For one night it was ok for us.
The location of the apartment is excellent, just off the main square. The breakfast offered at the cafe della posted was typically Italian, fresh Cornetto and coffee with the locals. Our host was very helpful and welcoming.
We were able to check-in early, we used this as a base to see the Giro d'italia which proved a wise choice.
