Prices at the bar
Location is good, staff are friendly. Rooms lovely and warm. Hotel itself nice and warm apart from 2nd dining room when main dining room is full. Very clean hotel. Bus right outside to bring you into the city,
A few issues, door wouldn't lock but got that resolved, TV wasn't working, but got that also resolved. Asked for Decaf Tea, took 3 attempts for the right ones to come up to room. Need more selection of Teas, I,E. Decaf Teas, Peppermint Teas. Some biscuits in the room would be a nice touch. Vending machine on 2nd floor wasn't restocked in the evening, very disappointed as really wanted some goodies. Breakfast was very disappointing as there definitely is not enough staff to cater to all the guests. And if your not in the main dining area for breakfast, you will not get any service unless you keep getting up and going into main dining area, asking for items as they are too busy in main area, also freezing cold in the area off the main dining room. They really should have heat on in this room. It's like a function room off the main dining room, by the time you received your eggs, your tea and toast is cold. They really need to improve on the breakfast, between more staff and heating both dining rooms. Also being able to make your own Tea & Coffee, so you can have it with your breakfast not when you have finished.
Had to ask for no parking.
Ordered BF to room first night didn’t arrive. Rang down 2nd morning, extra charge, toast in a hanky, rubber scrambled eggs. Overall just l okay, but 4* 🫣

Poor service, inattentive staff. The rooms were very dated. The breakfast especially was a frustrating experience. Long wait to be seated as no mgr front of house.

The view and its proximity to Salthill promenade were perfect.
The noise. I stayed in a room where there was a party next door and was woken by the drilling from some work being undertaken downstairs.
I travelled alone after some bad news to get a break and I just needed some peace and quiet. Bath was broken and staff must have highlighted my solo trip 100 times. Unintentional I am sure.
Paid parking is unnecessary. All it does is cheapen the experience.

Biggest bonus for us was they room wasn’t too hot and we could turn off the rads and open the window
There was a conference on and perhaps that’s why there was a lot of noisy foot traffic early morning. Our booking was for a delux Seaview room - we didn’t have a Seaview and the room while v comfy was a bit tired, i.e., furniture needs to be recovered and polished up.
