Lovely and clean, shower was great.
Ideally located to the city. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Iv paid more for food in hotels in smaller towns. Service was brilliant. Nothing was an issue. All staff were very friendly and always smiling. Little box of chocolates and a personal welcome card was a very nice surprise on arrival to my room. Although I didn’t need my room serviced everyday there was a bag with all essentials outside my door everyday.
Parking was my issue. On the booking parking was available but it did not say that it was pad parking. The car park I was parked in was discounted through the hotel over 24 hours but it didn’t allow for multiple in and outs during that 24 hours.
Hotel outside the city would have been much cheaper overall as they would have had their own car park.
Beautiful location in the city center, early check-in
Room very hot and no air-conditioning. Our room was next to the road and a bit noisy/road works. No fan/window in the bathroom
I had a great stay. The room had excellent blackout options and a comfortable bed. Excellent location within walking distance of most sights, and close to both the bus and train stations. Good breakfast with great, strong black coffee — not those weak Americanos.
Room was modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was good!
Had a really lovely stay - great location, lovely room, great nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely.
My stay at The Victoria Hotel was truly lovely. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the whole experience feel warm and personal from the moment I arrived. They really go out of their way to make guests feel at home.
The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Galway and just a short walk from the train and bus stations. It was so easy to explore Eyre Square, the Latin Quarter, and all the local restaurants and pubs on foot. You couldn’t ask for a better base.
The room was spotless and very comfortable, with a great bed, good shower, and everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It felt modern and well cared for, with a quiet atmosphere that allowed me to really rest.
I also appreciated the breakfast — it was fresh and tasty, with good quality ingredients, and the staff in the breakfast area were just as lovely and attentive.
There are just a couple of things that could make the experience even better. The Wi-Fi was a bit unstable at times, which made it a bit tricky when I needed to get some work done. A stronger, more consistent connection would really improve the stay — especially for business travellers.
Also, while the breakfast was enjoyable, I think it could benefit from a bit more variety — maybe a few more options for fruit, pastries, or healthy choices. The basics are there and well done, but just a little more selection would take it up a notch.
