The breakfast service was very poor. Staff were poor
Lovely hotel & great location. We had a family room & it was a great size
It was hot weather when we stayed there & the hotel has no air conditioning. Even with the windows open (at leadt they open fully) the room was very hot making it hard to sleep especially for children.
Also not many TV channels available on the TV
NO HAY AIRE ACONDICINADO NI NEVERA
Staff are so helpful lovely place to stay
Beautiful gardens
liked the variety and options
not sure if the bacon is air fried or not - but not keen on air fried food
We were in Gorey just one night to visit Irish family who live in the area. So we arranged a large group dinner at the hotel restaurant. Service and food was really excellent and they did a good job in servicing our large group. Hotel is lovely as well.
We were in Ireland during a bit of a heat wave. Many hotels, including Ashdown, do not have AC in the bedrooms. However a fan was provided which was definitely helpful. Rooms were very comfortable.
No air con
Lovely hotel. Beautiful decor. Very clean and within walking distance of Gorey town. Great base for touring around Co. Wexford.
Facilities in the hotel were excellent. Lovely sized pool and gym. There is a gorgeous foyer which is lovely to have a cuppa and lounge around. Rooms are spacious, clean and cosy. Travel cot supplied.
Food was lovely. Big buffet style breakfast with a great selection. Dinner is à la carte but also lovely.
The staff on reception, in house keeping and the leisure centre were so nice, friendly and helpful.
Rooms have no air con.
The staff in the bar/restaurant were a disaster. There were several staff working but they weren’t attentive. Gave us the menus and told us sit wherever. It was really hard to get their attention. I was waiting 20 minutes to just order food and it wasn’t even that busy. With a toddler this was not ideal.
Also, If you sit in the centre garden you have to pay for food and drink in advance.
The property was beautiful bright and clean
Great location.
Staff all very nice.
Room decor was a bit busy.
Bed linen quite worn.
The bar for an evening meal. Location and parking was very good
Expensive for the standard
