Worst customer service I’ve ever experience in hospitality
Pros:

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Sitzmark Hotel in Vail. If this is the only review you read, please do not give this greedy establishment any money!

I booked a stay months in advance and paid a $500 deposit. Unfortunately, my fiancé and I recently broke up and I can no longer afford this trip. I contacted the hotel well ahead of time to cancel and asked for my deposit back, but they refused — even though they will absolutely be able to rebook the room.
Daniel, the manager, was rude and completely lacked any empathy for my situation. I also tried reaching out to the general manager, Ben, multiple times and he has refused to call me back or respond at all.

This hotel is more concerned with greed than customer service. Life happens, and any reasonable business would work with a guest who is canceling months in advance due to unexpected personal hardship.

I strongly advise people not to book here unless you’re willing to risk losing hundreds of dollars no matter what happens.

Must stay when visiting Vail!
Pros:

The location and room were amazing, but most of all, the staff here was world class!! It was easy to park, walk to gondola one, you’re in the heart of all the restaurants and shopping.

Felt like home.
Pros:

This was a fantastic find, great hotel. Super ambiance, recently renovated and they did a fantastic job! So nice. Rooftop pool and hot tub, continental breakfast, and we really enjoyed this breakfast. Front end staff very friendly and helpful, owner of hotel was on site and a super guy! Garage parking is great, even fit my 1500 Silverado. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to all. Thank you Sitzmark from Ed, Betsy and Penny.

Spectacular Hotel in Vail
Pros:

Spectacular hotel in the center of Vail. Only 30 or so rooms, and they are really nice. What makes your stay in this hotel so memorable is the wonderful staff...Steve, Ben, Wayne, Gavin and Luis made our stay perfect in every way. They go above and beyond to ensure that every little detail is taken care of so you can relax and enjoy Vail. Balconies overlook the creek or the mountains. The extra-large hot tub has tons of water jets and is so relaxing after a long day. Plush robes to wear to the pool or hot tub. The breakfast in the lobby is way above average. Underground parking beneath the hotel. We will return for sure.

Pros:

There was construction going on behind and near hotel and was not made aware ahead of time. So river balcony view was actually a construction view and no compensation for that. Also let staff know ahead of time that it was our 25th anniversary and asked for wine and goodies in room at checkin. This was not done at all the entire 3 day 2 night stay. No I didn't mention it again as it should have been noted and done as requested and promised before arrival.

Pros:

Terrific one night stay in Vail Village, while on a 2 week road trip. Celebrated wife’s birthday and front desk (shout out to Wayne) sent a bottle of Prosecco to our room which we enjoyed on the outdoor pool/hot tub deck. Great views! Also very close to Sweet Basil (awesome venison and duck meals) and Village shops.

Anniversary getaway! Highly recommended
Pros:

This hotel is beautiful and quaint. The staff is attentive, and the hotel has been freshly remodeled with an attention to detail. We had a room with a fireplace and balcony overlooking the Gore Creek. It was a really fun and relaxing stay. It’s located in the heart of Vail and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants.
