Great location, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff
Some of the decor was a bit busy
I felt the bar for dinner in the evening and breakfast the following morning, both rooms were too quiet especially the bar. If I was staying again I would go out somewhere else for dinner.
Lovely hotel, good location in the town of Clonakilty. Easy parking and all walkable to pubs, gallery and coffee places. Will come back to visit the nearby beach aswell. Easy drive to Cork Airport from here too!
Its modern but with character. The bedroom was great with comfy bed and shower. Food was fresh and service was top, compliments to the staff!
Had trouble with tv reception, but the lady at the desk was going to look at it straight away, compliments to her!
Loved the decor, the provided amenities in the room, coffee/tea/chocolates, and how spacious the room was.
This was our first time to stay in Clonakility. Had driven through on our way to Baltimore. I am a travel planner and was doing research for a group coming to the south. The owners could not have been nicer and really enjoyed chatting with them. The hotel is quite old and full of history. Although there are 2 sets of stairs to all rooms and no lift, there is plenty of staff to carry your bags. They have excellent staff and have made the rooms so comfortable with the best mattress I had slept on in months. The breakfast was fantastic. The evening menu rather limited as I prefer not so many items fried and more greens and healthy options. But that is not a negative just a request. We loved the location and it was incredible to be able to see the Michael Collins House and museum. We loved the music and Donovans Hotel and Pub has great music as well as the 2 other Pubs. A very friendly town and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and hope to visit again. Thank you Rob and Rebecca for a memorable 3 nights.
Not a dislike but perhaps a menu with more options for dining.
I could not stay gave the room to my in-laws. One key when missing they sent messages ran then told me they would charge between 150 and 180 euro fuming tryed ringing got upset young girl answered. TWO Days later there took one hundred euro out of my sons account even thought he returned his key rude on phone .It's a simple door key no name on so no security risk .Rip the young off .they thought but it was the mother who booked .The matter is closed as the older person said today but no they had no right to go into my sons account and take money .
Excellent location, free parking
Rom was very warm
Breakfast
Nothing
Staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem when asked anything. Really made a difference to the stay. From the front desk to the dining room they were excellent. Also the location was perfect.
Location and breakfast all excellent
The location and the facilities you had in the room, air con, hair dryer and coffee machine
Breakfast was extra
It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, and I really enjoyed the charm of the place. Coming from the U.S., I’m probably just not used to the idea of carrying my own suitcase up a flight of stairs and not having AC. It really wasn’t a big deal, though! This is my first time in Ireland, so now I know what to expect for next time. Overall, a lovely experience.
