As close to home as I’ve got in a one night stay
Pros:

This hotel has real character. Not ‘curated’ or bought in, it’s in the bones of the building. I been to posher but very rarely been anywhere that felt so comfortable

Cons:

Nothing. Like I said, not the best of anything but would stay there again in a heartbeat. Staff were lovely

Fantastic
Pros:

Possibly the most comfortable bed ever! The room was decorated beautifully. The breakfast was divine with all locally sourced produce. The staff were incredible, and on checkout, i was given a little gift.

The hotel is centrally located with lovely bars close by.

Looks good online, but caveat emptor.
Pros:

The location is awesome and it has its own carpark. Common areas were clean and spacious.

Cons:

We arrived and were welcomed by staff to the "boutique hotel." The actual room we stayed in was anything but. It was clean, but dated. The furnishings were old, the carpet worn, the soundproofing non-existent. Our room had a shared balcony and if used by the other room guests would have given them a direct view of our room's bed. The bathroom had a very low sink and toilet. The toilet seat was loose and shifted sideways under weight. The shower was adequate. The hall door lock was an old exterior deadbolt key style I haven't seen in years. Not impressed as the price paid was significant and makes one wonder where the money for upkeep was being spent.

A lovely warm welcome in a lovely hotel
Pros:

We had a lovely stay in the Emmet hotel. A really warm welcome, lovely room and fabulous breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, highly recommend the Emmet if you are in Clonakility

Pros:

Second time staying at The Emmet hotel, from the time of check in staff were very nice and walk you to your room to show you the facilities, food was very nice , will definitely be back again, and a special Thanks to Rebecca for going out of her way

Pros:

If you're heading to Clonakilty, there's no better place to stay. Location, rooms, service. Everything spot on. We had a lovely room. Comfortable, beautifully decorated, Nespresso machine.
Not sure they have any ground floor rooms. They don't have an elevator.

Clockers on Tour
Pros:

We are a group of ladies of a certain age that go away for a few days every year! The Emmet Hotel was our choice this year and boy were we happy girlies!!! A wonderful warm reception on arrival with Sinead and that set the tone for our visit! Lovely rooms and great staff. Breakfast was cooked fresh on order which is a big bonus. We weren’t that impressed with our evening meal think it’s an area worth looking at!! But we would definitely recommend this hotel for its style and warmth and of course it’s situation bang in the centre of Clonakilty.
