Bed comfy

Great location.
Bad facilities, old building, you can hear other guests like you are sleeping in a tent. Old building not worthy of being a hotel.
This is a continuation of the second part about what I did t like. There are three parts to read TOGETHER. THE TWO BELOW AND THIS THIRD AND FINAL ONE.
My friend booked me in to the hotel and was also not told about the deposit before my arrival, so obviously it is an ongoing set up procedure to routinely not tell people before hand about the request for a deposit on arrival. I also emailed booking.com and have had no reply. Not only am I still waiting for my refund after 18 days I am now wanting compensation and a free night's accommodation to compensate. Minimum.
First of all I paid the full amount on booking.com. I have used booking.com a lot. So it was unusual to be asked to pay online BEFORE arriving. I decided to go ahead as I trusted booking.com so far. I paid £37 for room only. When I arrived shortly before 10pm, I expected to go straight up to my room. I was then told I needed to pay extra. Another £25 on top as a deposit for the room??? I was shocked by this as there was no mention on any prior admin via booking.com or from the hotel. Because it was not possible to arrange this at the time they refused me from staying in the room I had paid for. As a single woman traveller at that time of night in a dangerous town, that was completely and totally unacceptable. They insisted on refunding the money onto my card but it did not go straight on to it so I had no way of finding another room that night. I decided to call booking.com and tried talking to several people who were either in foreign countries and got cut off or some were difficult to understand because of the language. Eventually got through to someone who seemed to understand but did absolutely nothing about it and offered no help or solution whatsoever. I was up until 1am trying to resolve the issue and asked for a coffee which I was given. At no time did the hotel change their mind or offer me the room back. Eventually the staff all disappeared starting with the manager and I was left with a guy who had told me he had virtually only just started working there. He was left with the awkward responsibility and again did nothing. I was then told the reception was finally closing and I had to go. During this time people from upstairs were coming down and going upstairs with complaints about noise and disputes with other guests. So at gone one in the morning a single woman was put out with no money in a dangerous town. The money has still not shown up in my account 18 days ago.
By chance a friend of mine was booking me in some
Location
None
Good room helpfull staff good location
No breakfast Avalable
Staff friendly room was big
No air con room dated
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Good location.
The windows were not very clean.
I’m not a keyboard warrior but on this rare occasion I feel compelled to leave a review to let others know.
On arrival the room simply hadn’t been cleaned, black hairs all over the bedding, stains on mirrors and in bathroom, disposed of soiling sun bathroom bin, dirty carpets and I could go on but you get the picture, the room had not been cleaned.
Complained to the receptionist guy and requested a refund as it was so bad we did t want to stay there, this was refused so I asked to speak to the manager ( to be told they weren’t there), so requested a call to them to discuss the refund to be told by the receptionist here’s their number you’ll have to call her as I’ve spoken to her! I called and the manager cut the call off so I couldn’t speak to her.
Given no option of a refund we then were told we had to provide a card to have £50 pre authorised in case of damages, despite having lost trust given the treatment so far I reluctantly handed the card over with the assurance no money would be taken. 5mins later I checked my account to find £50 had been deducted, again I requested this back and the Indian chap at reception said no despite the fact it was incorrectly taken!! I had to wait until check out to get the money back.
To summarise……..AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, ITS DIRTY (NOT JUST OUR ROOM BUT OTHER GUESTS HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH ONE LADY SAYING HER ROOM WAS DIRTY WITH USED PIZZA BOXES ALL OVER THE
PLACE), THE STAFF ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE MANAGERESS IS COMPLETELY INVISIBLE, WE WERE THERE FROM TUES - FRI AND NEVER SAW HER ONCE. THE CULTURE AND HOTEL PROJECTS SEEDY BACKSTREET IM AFRAID.
Location and price
The staff were amazing and helpful. Everything was as I expected.
The only issue was it needed a power-shower as the pressure was so low. Apart from noisy guests which is not the hotels fault.
I just like the location nothing better than this and bath tub nearly broken in the bath sink water tap is not working properly on the doors tea stains everywhere just rediclous hotel I have ever been to.
Staff wasn't helpful we needed iron our clothes were creesy I asked at reception she told me she is Looking for iron then we went to the beach came back and she wasn't there she told me we are here till 10:pm we came back 9:20 she already left so we had to wear creesy clothes not happy at all.
