Bella Vista Hotel & Self Catering Suites

We had a very large room on the top floor with an incredible view. The staff did all they could to make our stay enjoyable!

Nice hotel when we got there we had a double room booked but they upgraded us to a 1 bed apartment. I dont drive but if you do there is free parking onsite.

Myself and my husband booked a self-catering accommodation with Bella Vista for a 4 night stay and availed of the breakfast at the hotel each morning.
On our arrival we were greeted and checked in by Vincent who was extremely efficient and helpful to the point of carrying our luggage to our top floor Apartment. [A point to be noted there appears to be little or no elevators in any Cobh property] !
The views from the top floor Suite/Apartment (No.9) were magnificent coupled with hearing the wonderful carillon bells from St Colman's Cathedral.
The Apartment itself was very clean and spacious with the added bonus of peace and quiet lending to a great nights sleep.
There is a nice cosy bar on the groundfloor of the Hotel building (which is a different building to the Apartment block).
Alexis who also fronts the Reception Desk is extremely friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of points of interest in Cobh and its surrounds. He also managed to rectify a few small issues in the our Apartment with great speed and efficiency.
We were happy with the breakfast menu and the Lady server is also very friendly and helpful.
Our stay would have qualified for a 5 star rating but for the following small matters.
1. No walk-in shower in bathroom (the shower is over the bath)
2.The bathroom could definitely do with a small unit or chair to facilitate toiletries.
3.The television (my husband found) not at all user-friendly including the lack of British channels.
4.The Apartment could be much better server with a full length mirror.......
We would most definitely stay at the Bella Vista again primarily due to the wonderful staff.

We stayed overnight on Sunday 31/05/2026. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by very friendly and well informed employees, who spent time explaining about the local area and where to explore. He showed us to our apartment #2 which I would definitely recommend, as the space and views were amazing!! The apartment was spotless and very well appointed.
We had a lovely comfortable night sleep. The location of Bella vista is literally a few minutes walk from the water front and is just across from a beautiful cathedral.. The breakfast this morning was also fabulous. The kids availed of the fresh fruit, cereal, croissant and fresh orange juice. My wife and I had a lovely full Irish breakfast.
This hotel will not be beaten anywhere for value for money. We will definitely be coming back, and all I can say with certainty is you will not be disappointed with your stay here!!

Fantastic location and close to the port, attractions, and pubs (car parking if needed). Entire staff (check in, breakfast, room needs) were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived (10 am) and the front desk staff gladly accepted our luggage and when we checked in later in the day, our luggage was in the room. Breakfast (Irish Breakfast and other choices) were very good. Our room was an apartment which included 2 large bedrooms, 2 baths and kitchen/living room. Quite large for European standards. Again, the staff was outstanding and cannot thank them enough!!!!

Very nice hotel with a beautiful view! Pleasant staff, clean, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, bar & Chinese restaurant. A great choice for a stay in Cobh!

Great location with free parking. Comfy bed and loads of space. Having a kitchen was great, but no coffee maker. Great Shower.

Beautiful view of the harbor. Room was large, clean and comfortable. It included a smaller room with kitchen facilities if needed for longer stays. Staff were courteous and helpful. Location was convenient to all sights in town we planned to visit as well restaurants, pubs and convenience stores.
