Really lovely stay here , helpful staff and comfy room
Im a ihg member, not sure what rooms look like if not a member. This hitel has just been refurbished. Its top notch. 50 inch tv in bedroom, lovely furnishings. The shower is soo nice and has two settings. It has a Nepresso machine. (im impressed and i dont even drink coffee. The on site restaurant service good food. The customer service is really good. Stayed here to go King's Cross for Eurostar. A bit pricey for 1 night but worth it
Great property with a central location to everything. The staff was helpful and amazing.
Although the exterior had ongoing construction it did not impact our stay. The food offering for breakfast was wonderful. For the restaurant, great Fish and Chips and stellar service by Aleena.
The hotel is in a good location, about five minutes walk from Euston station with some nice independent shops and restaurants right next to the hotel as well as a good sized Waitrose.
On arrival I was warmly welcomed and thought my stay staff were pleasant and attentive.
My bedroom had a large comfortable bed, although the lighting is a bid subdued for my taste.
There was a walk in shower in the bathroom but no towel rail and the bathroom remained cold during my stay especially stepping onto the tiled floor in bare feet.
I hope to stay again.
Our second time at this very well located hotel - just a few mins by taxi from St Pancras. The tube is about 150m away - busses 200m.
Plenty of restaurants/bars in the locality as well as a Waitrose if you just want to bury your head and eat chocolate!!
Undergoing a refurb, but that was not a problem during our 4 night stay over the feb/march w/e.
Our room was recently renovated, well equipped - everything worked - maybe the windows can be a bit tricky - but hey, small beer! The bed was very comfortable - full marks!
The breakfast area is new - well laid out with an extensive choice of options.
Best of all, the staff - they went out of their way to help - I can be a bit fussy about room location, floor, view etc ect!!!! Their general attitude was very friendly - a great team!
Thank you - we'll be back!
It had been a couple of months since we stayed here and last time was disappointing, so we were hoping for a good stay.
We always have a King Corner Premium Room, which costs a bit more than the regular rooms, but it fits the wheelchair in nicely.
We arrived and the room was ready, it was lovely and warm in there.
The room was excellent the one on the 5th floor always seems the best room but my husband thinks they are all the same, just on different floors.
The room is very modern with plenty of USB charging points and other plug sockets.
The bathroom is always very cold, but the main bedroom can have the temperature varied as to how you like it. I like it warm.
This was a lovely stay and we look forward to returning.
We have been staying at this hotel regularly for the last 15 years because it was one of the only hotels in London to offer a hoist for disabled guests. They originally had a ceiling tracking hoist before it was replaced (no reason given) a few years ago with a portable hoist. On our January booking this year, we received a telephone call 3 days before our stay to advise us that the hotel had decided to get rid of the portable hoist. This meant that we were unable to stay at the hotel as my wife has no movement at all and requires a hoist to get her in and out of bed. With trains, theatres and social events booked we lost everything. I followed up by writing an email to the manager to explain our disappointment and displeasure at a hotel removing the option for disabled guests to stay with them anymore. We had been loyal IHG Elite members but not to receive any response or reply from the manager or IHG group is beyond arrogance and incredibly upsetting. There is absolutely no reason why they should have removed the hoist, it is a hotel’s responsibility to provide access to guests of all abilities and with the hoist here it enabled us to have several weekends away in London every year. This hotel and the IHG group should be ashamed of themselves and the manager clearly needs training in how to communicate with hotel guests. We will never be able to stay here again and I’m sure other disabled guests like ourselves will be equally as disappointed.
Had the most amazing experience at this hotel for a friends weekend away celebrating joint 50th Birthdays. On arrival we found our room had been upgraded and in the room was a beautiful cake and personalised message. We had a Premium Room (6th floor) which included a Smeg fridge with snacks/cans of coke, fresh water daily, a nespresso machine and kettle. The blackout curtains were the best in any hotel I've stayed in. What sets this place apart is the staff, every single staff member we encountered without exception were friendly, beyond helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Special shout out to Sheila on Reception who checked us in and out and Mohammed at breakfast who were both so friendly and helpful. Also the guys working the bar on Sunday evening (22nd Feb) whose names I forget, when I arrived back from a Bake off Experience with a large cake to cut up so I could bring it back on my flight they cut it up for me, wrapped in clingfilm and boxed it up - and the good news it made it home in one piece!
Also location perfect - 10 minute walk from St Pancras or straight opposite Russell Square tube on the Piccadilly Line straight through to Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Regent Street.
This hotel is good value for money and in a great location, very close to Russell Square tube and only a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross station.
It's renovations are not far off completed now and it's a big improvement. We stayed here last February and the difference in a year is really good. The rooms are so much more modern - I love that the shower now has a button at the end that you get into it so that you don't have to turn it on and instantly get out of the way until the water warms up! Although the standard room sizes do seem to have been reduced and did feel slightly too small.
Breakfast was really nice and fresh and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. It's also a pretty quiet hotel both inside and out.
Room for 4 in Central London will usually set you back a pretty penny, but this one is quite good value. We had a large room with a queens sized bed and a large fold out sofa-bed in an adjoining space (not quite a suite but close.)
The room was clean and tidy with modern touches such as a lovely bathroom, TV that you could cast to from a phone and multiple USB-A & C charging sockets.
There was exterior renovations happening but we heard nothing.
The hotel is a short walk from Euston Station and right next to Russell Square tube station and comfortable walk to covent garden area.
Reception staff were great and resolved every query quickly and to our satisfaction. The bar area was great for a night cap and the buffet breakfast was just the ticket.
Slight warning to travellers even though you give ages of the children at booking they still expect to charge locally extra for the Children over 12 to have breakfast.
It was a slightly incompetent checking-in experience, which took far too long. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable. Decent blackout curtains. Shower wasn’t as powerful as I’d like.
The buffet breakfast was decent. Nice touch with the water bottle filling station.
The location is perfect for central London.
My wife and I spent 6 nights here in late January. The room was comfortable – although a little small for two people. The hotel was also undergoing some refurbishment, but this didn’t cause us any bother. The real stars are the staff. My wife and I were both unwell on arrival (with a bug we had picked up elsewhere) and she had a nasty fall during our stay (out on the street – nothing to do with the hotel). All the staff were kind and tried to help with our ailments. The concierge kept some of my wife’s medication in their refrigerator – kindly letting us recover it for ten minutes when each dose was due and then taking it back from us. I don’t recall the names of most of the people who helped us, but do want to mention Horacia – the kind reception clerk who checked us in and out and was so friendly and attentive to our needs. I must also mention Aleena, a waitress in the hotel restaurant (‘The Artful Critic’). She saw that we were both under-the-weather and – without prompting from us – prepared a soothing hot drink (of her own recipe) with honey and lemon for us on multiple occasions!
Ahhh….where to start…..
The Holiday Inn Bloomsbury is fabulous plus!! Management has put a great deal of effort into quite impressive renovations. Oh, yes, the noise can be a nuisance during the day, but the renovations are quite stellar and there is no way to get them magically. So often people complain about hotels and say that upgrades are needed. Everything is being done to turn this hotel into an impressively A+++++ hotel.
In addition to the renovations, the staff is also super stellar….from the front desk staff of Lubna, Zalika, Horacia, Shivam, Ishan, and the others. Lopez and Yacoub are wonderful greeters. The breakfast room is filled with wonderful staff, beginning with Meet, Abir, Alvaro, and Seraade at the entry, fabulous Nejla, the breakfast room honchette, Tesha, Sarah, Rukhaiya, Kazi, and Hilda working the room and Eddy and Mohamed in the kitchen. Wonderful ambiance and wonderful offerings at breakfast. Additionally, Ollie at the Starbucks bar is personable and ever helpful. Anu also does a great job. Finally, I must mention the very kind and very fabulous management head, Warryn, who is beyond wonderful and helpful.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and I cannot wait to get back.
It is my favorite hotel…..🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Excellent.
Lovely staff on reception. Very helpful
Nice room,
Very comfortable
Highly recommended
Yes, without doubt we'll be returning
I’ve not stayed at many Holiday Inns before because people seem a bit sniffy about them, but based on this experience I need to think differently
The hotel was undergoing a major renovation but despite that, it was clean and had a good vibe. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and worthy of a grander hotel.
The room was comfortable. Breakfast was not bad, far better than some chain hotel offerings.
Stayed on previous occasions and was ok. The refurb has certainly improved the experience, good service from all the staff too.
Hotel is quite nice and the restaurant food was very good! The service was a bit strange, I couldn’t make out if the waitress perhaps worked in another job and stepped in as she just put the food in front of me, never said a word each time she came to the table, which was twice, it was all very odd! The male waiter was lovely and asked me what I’d thought of the jerk chicken as he’d had a say in it, it was delicious and he was lovely!
My room was a premier corner room, spacious and comfortable. But the building noise was horrendous from early morning, there is no way you couldn’t hear it which spoilt the early morning, I tried so watch TV even with the sound up but I couldn’t hear it! Only for this my stay would have been good.
I was a bit unsure what to expect booking this hotel to be really honest but I needn’t have been - it was great. The room was recently refurbished and a great size, clean and all the amenities we needed. My teenage daughter had the sofa bed which can sometimes be a bit rubbish but this was a fantastic size and comfy. The staff were really lovely too and the location was perfect for easily getting to and from Euston, Covent Garden etc. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and I think I’m fussy.
We had a pleasant stay. It was a bit noisy due to the construction in the hotel and we found the mattresses to be rather firm. For one night it did what it needed to do. The Breakfast was lovely and the staff were helpful.
Stayed in one of the newer rooms and was very pleased with the comfort and updated feel. Everything you need for a great stay. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the Atrium/Artful Critic bar made for a nice spot to relax in the evenings. Location is a big plus too, just a short walk from Euston Station, which made getting around very convenient. Overall, a solid and enjoyable stay.
