Pros:

Veldig rent og rolig. Hyggelig betjening.

Cons:

Personalet i restauranten var litt slappe. Kunne vært litt mer på å ordne for gjestene.

Ok stay
Pros:

The checkin staff at reception was super friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was also great, I enjoyed it.

Cons:

Cleanliness was questionable, the chair in the bedroom needs some cleaning, mould in the shower and a clogged shower drain.

Waste of hard earned money!
Pros:

There were renovations carried out during my stay, should we have known we would have stayed elsewhere.
There are no sea view single rooms on offer or was informed so by staff

Cons:

The damn renovations on the week we planned to take a break , and where not informed at all . We travelled by air from JHB and rented a vehicle.

Our days at the pool , while grinding and drilling could be heard was the most disappointing experience for a vacation.!

Won't see us again!

Delighted by property improvements. Signs of modernisation & staff training make this venue special.
Pros:

As a repeat guest, (compare earlier reviews) I was delighted by special touches - painted surfaces, varnished front door, refitted bathroom (well done! Looks really good!), flowers, a welcome snack platter, (even little flowers in the toilet bowl!). Room information cards look updated and modern. The room cleaner was assiduous in daily cleaning- VERY well done. It was a pleasure to return to a spotless unit after outings. Even spraying fabric freshener on bedding. Specially folded towels. Breakfast variety and presentation was very good. Staff at reception, outdoor areas and dining facility, welcomed us back with genuine friendliness - greeting me by name. A particular shout out for Gugulethu who took special care of my mom's wheelchair requirements - assisting us up steps and making himself available when required. I tried room service - see attached photo - and snack platters with local guests. Very satisfied. Updated beach access (stairs and railings) were noticed (see photos). Some shrubbery had been thinned out to allow for better guest views. This hotel seems to be improving each year. The combination of ocean and river location and neighbouring nature reserve make this venue very special. (Even the potholes in the neighbourhood have been filled). Early morning beach walks are atmospheric. Sub tropical property gardens are well maintained and constantly cleaned - see photos. Pool is spotless. Dining area upgrades were instantly noticeable. Aircons and ceilings were clean, artwork updated, dining wall mural is fresh, even an unobtrusive TV in waiting area. Well done GM Mr Peter Gregerson and team!

Cons:

Thank you for meeting water in fridge request - just remember to turn on the fridge ;-)
Dassies (hyraxes) on the roof at about 21h00 every night were slightly disturbing but understandable given the proximity of the reserve. As this hotel continues to improve and impress, no doubt the size of the TV will be updated. In my unit there was no TV in the main bedroom, as there is elsewhere. Future consideration of shaded guest parking? Recommend patio furniture cushions. Consider more modern razor wire for beach access gate. Barbed wire is rusting and dated.

Pros:

The Staff are awesome, very professional, and friendly.
All the ladies was well groomed and exceptionally well mannered.Treuly amazing Staff.

Cons:

The noise and dirt....The dasies makes a mess all over and it leaves an unpleasant smell-couldn't walk down staircase had to take other side twice actually vomited-health wise-big risk.
Then no control of noise loud shouting and music late at night and early morning ...really need to lay in that's why we took a break for nice comftable well earned rest-but no to much noise. And also courtesy couple could provide 2 x water-not only one..or nothing...
