An Old Hotel Located Next to Centrale FS Metro Stop
Pros:

The staff were friendly and greeted us upon entrance and exit. The room was cleaned every single day and that was exceptional. This hotel is directly across from Centrale FS, a main train and metro hub. We had our laundry done during our stay and it came back exceptional, although it arrived a day later than promised.

Cons:

The room itself needed a refurbishment. The carpet is old and worn, the toilet flush was incredibly loud-we could hear it coming from other rooms-and the toilet itself continued to run. There was no hot water in the mornings, either from the sink or the shower, so plan to adjust your nightly routine. The thermostat does not seem to work, so we often had to open the window to adjust the temperature, which meant sounds and smells from the city wafted in throughout the evening. Our room was situated on the fourth floor and our stay was 7 nights and we only had one evening of very loud late night city sounds, but the smell of food-I'm thinking morning breakfast-was prevalent every morning at around 6am. There is no exercise room or pool/spa facilities. In fact, the only additional amenity they had was a breakfast that was an additional charge. It was not an awful stay, but for the cost it should have been more comfortable and up to date. The proximity to public transit is its greatest asset, so if you plan to spend little time in the hotel, this might be a good one or two night option.

Hotel confortável, antigo, bom para quem vem de trem.
Pros:

Quarto pequeno nas cama grande. Banheiro antigo mas confortável. Quarto escuríssimo. Ótimo wifi e café da manhã bom e barato (20€, sendo o do 1º dia cortesia). Funcionários bem atenciosos. Localização boa para quem vem de trem, mas bem fora da área turística.

Cons:

Apesar de ser inverno, quarto quente o dia todo, mesmo desligando a calefação na parede.

Country mouse comes to the big city.
Pros:

Great for Milano Centrale. Breakfast was great.

Cons:

First floor above a busy junction was a bit noisy for me but I do live in a very quiet village the rest of the time.
