Cons:

Séjour décevant pour un hôtel censé être 4 étoiles.
Vue sur un chantier à l’arrêt et sur la gare: beaucoup de bruit. Volets défectueux, lumière dans la chambre toute la nuit. Petit déjeuner moyen (pancakes pas frais). Pas d’électricité à l’arrivée. Réveils quotidiens à 8h à cause du personnel, et intrusion dans la chambre pendant que nous dormions. Salle de bain peu pratique et chasse d’eau très bruyante.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Bristol Gare Colmar was not a good experience. The first room smelled strongly of vinegar and was quite musty, so we called the front desk to ask whether another room was available. The call was disconnected, and although we waited for a return call, no one contacted us. We eventually called again and were told that another room was available and that we needed to go to the front desk to collect the keys. The lady said it was probably from the cleaning. No apologies or anything.

We had heavy luggages with us, but no assistance was offered. When we reached the new room, the key did not work, just as it had not worked when we were first assigned the room. As a result, we had to make a total of four trips to and from the front desk before the issue was finally resolved. Even the pet blanket and bowls provided in the first room were not transferred to the new room.

When we went out and later returned, the attitude of the front-office staff (I believe she was the front desk lead. This was the lady in the afternoon on 19 August. The front desk when we checked in around 12nn was very nice and helpful) was particularly disappointing. The person at the desk appeared annoyed, and when we greeted her with “Bonsoir,” she completely ignored us and did not respond.

We understand that issues can happen, but the way this situation was handled, combined with the lack of basic courtesy and assistance, made our stay very disappointing. Having previously worked in hotel hospitality, Fairmont, I understand that unexpected problems can arise; however, clear communication, helpfulness, and basic courtesy are fundamental aspects of good service. We expected much better hospitality and customer care. The price is too expensive for a poor service and uncleanliness of the room. Does not fit its 4 star rating.

Very good indeed.
Pros:

The hotel is very good the staff were excellent, location perfect for the main station and local tram routes.

Cons:

The Aircon was not too good even when set to the lowest temperature it never fell to that temperature. We also had issues with the key for the electric in the room.

La terrasse est très agréable.
