Pros:

Non è facile valutare questo hotel perchè è la depandance dell'Hotel Gruner Baum. La struttura è carina, ma non all'altezza dell'hotel principale, presso cui bisogna recarsi per usufruire dei vari servizi, esclusa la prima colazione a buffet, che ho trovato abbondante e con una certa varietà. Ho apprezzato sicuramente la posizione tranquilla, immersa nel verde e vicinissima al centro storico. Un'altra cosa che ho molto apprezzato è stato il Bozen Sudtirol Guest Pass, che è comodissimo perché consente di prendere gratuitamente tutti i mezzi di trasporto (treni, autobus, funivia, etc.) in tutta la regione e di accedere gratuitamente a diverse attrazioni come l'Abbazia di Novacella (imperdibile), il Museo Diocesano e il Museo della Farmacia.

Cons:

A parte la prima colazione, tutti gli altri servizi sono offerti presso il Gruner Baum, inclusa la reception e il ristorante, dove peraltro ho cenato benissimo. L'hotel Gasser è in stile retrò e potrebbe non piacere a tutti. I bagni sarebbero da ristrutturare. Le luci principali della mia stanza non funzionavano e ho dovuto accendere una piantana e la lampada sul comodino. Una cameriera ha provato ad entrare in camera per fare le pulizie senza neanche bussare. A fronte di tutto questo, mi sento di dire che il prezzo è eccessivo e che le quattro stelle forse non sono del tutto meritate (per l'hotel Gasser, non per il Gruner Baum).
Inoltre, ho trovato pericolosi i tratti di strada senza marciapiede che è necessario percorrere per andare dalla fermata dell'autobus all'hotel Gasser e da questo hotel al Gruner Baum o al centro.
