Amazing experience, very friendly staff, would highly recommend

This small family run hotel does Everything right! From the room design (including plenty of storage, lights and outlets), to the generous breakfast buffet and fine dining dinners, to the helpful staff, spacious ski locker room and the beautiful Wellness Center! This is a great retreat for exploring the Dolomites!

Some apartments are in a secondary building that requires uphill walking.

The Chef did an amazing job accommodating a vegetarian diet. Every night offered a protein for vegetarians - over 5 nights, each night was different!

Loved the outdoor breakfast area and outdoor space and view. Loved the staff. Rooms were good. Very clean which I loved.

L'albergo gode di una vista strepitosa sul paese e sulle montagne. Tutto rinnovato. Camera e bagno spaziosi. Personale gentilissimo e pulizia impeccabile. C'è la possibilità di parcheggiare la macchina al.coperto (a pagamento). La piscina riscaldata esterna a sfioro è stupenda perché ha una vista panoramica e così anche la sauna che ha tutte le vetrate che danno sulle montagne. La massaggiatrice Alexa bravissima. Non cambiatela mai! Colazione eccellente dolce e salata. Abbiamo cenato due sere al ristorante. Buffet self service ricco e buono. Piatti serviti a tavola invece troppo elaborati con salse varie.

Its was not good welcoming at the reception, and it's 4 start as the staff Daniel mention on thet so it's low services.

Breakfast is amazing - diversified and clean with good quality during our 4 night stay. Warm welcome from reception.

I am writing to share my recent experience at Rainell Dolomites Retreat and advise against staying there.

The cost of the room was disproportionately high given its quality and the extremely poor amenities. The actual condition of the property and rooms bears no resemblance to the images displayed on their website.

Furthermore, the owners, who also operate the business, demonstrated a complete lack of customer service throughout my stay. The room itself had several issues, including a leaking shower and no body wash provided. The location is also incredibly inconvenient, making it difficult to access.

There are many better alternatives available nearby, offering superior accommodations and more convenient access to local restaurants and the town. I strongly recommend choosing a different establishment for your stay.

Everything at Rainell is pure perfection, where immaculate attention to detail meets warmth, friendliness, and genuine thoughtfulness that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff welcomed us like old friends, creating a rare sense of familiarity and ease. The spa is a sanctuary - beautiful, serene, and truly rejuvenating. Meals were a highlight of each day, and the view from our room truly never grew old. Rainell is not just a resort, it’s an experience of comfort, care, and understated luxury in the heart of the Dolomites.

An excellent family run hotel. The situation just outside the centre of Ortisea offers peace & quiet, as well as stunning views.
Breakfast and dinner offer plenty of choice, and the afternoon tea is a welcome extra after a day's hiking.
There was always a member of staff on-hand to provide advice and recommendations for nearby hikes and excursions. The infinity pool and well-being area are impeccably clean and quite spacious.
It's a short walk into the centre of town, so you can leave the car and access restaurants and several cable cars on foot.

Its very classy and beautiful. the views for the location are spectuacular.

Beautiful, peaceful situation overlooking the valley and Ortesei. Exceptional food and the staff were friendly and efficient. The wellness area with infinity pool, steam room and lovely sauna with a full glass wall overlooking the town was perfect after a long day of walking in the surrounding area.

The hotel is high up a steep hill but without that you wouldn’t get the peaceful ambience and view so you can’t have it both ways! There is a bus once an hour so with a bit of flexibility and planning you wouldn’t have to walk up. We never did!
