Pros:

Very chill place, and all the staff were very nice, helpful, welcoming, and positive.

Definitely a top location – 5 minutes to Line A metro (the line goes directly to Vatican City); 15 minutes walk to Termini Station (or just take the metro for 2 stops); 25 minutes walk to the Colosseum; 5 minutes walk to the hidden gem Basilica of San Giovanni (definitely worth a visit, although ChatGPT didn’t recommend it).

Rooftop terrace – you can get drinks from the bar and go up in the evening to relax. Alternatively, you can chill at the tables in the garden/back of the hotel (which we usually did in the morning after breakfast).

Breakfast – good, with everything you need to get energy for the endless Rome walks. I particularly liked the croissants and cappuccino! There are also scrambled/boiled eggs, sausages, toast, some veggies (including grilled and fresh), cheeses, some other salami/ham options, and several desserts. Drinks include fresh juice, tea, coffee, etc.

Despite arriving several hours before check-in time, we were welcomed by the lovely Augustina and her colleague, who took our luggage, made us coffee, brought us croissants and water, and recommended we check out the San Giovanni Basilica. She also offered us a map which I later picked up from another colleague of hers.

Cons:

You cannot control the AC in the room - I discussed it with someone at the reception and was advised that this is automatic and is controlled by the city. It was basically all the time off, but thankfully the tempratures outside were perfect, so we could keep the window open.
I didn't really like the smell of the washing product but my mum had no issues with that, so I guess is a personal prefference.

The breakfast was good. The location was convenient for public transport

Cons:

There was no hot water for shower.
Shower door handle was broken.
The toilet smelt awful.
There was a bright green light over my door shining on my bed which kept me awake.
The air conditioning unit was very noisy and apparently there are frequent complaints to hotel staff about this.

great hotel location at affordable price

Cons:

Se proprio devo trovare un difetto, la cabina doccia. Non avendo una porta di chiusura, mezza anta fissa bisogna fare attenzione per non allagare il bagno. Almeno per la mia stanza.

Accessible location with very helpful and friendly staff.
Pros:

The staff at Cross Hotel are amazing! Always friendly, efficient and professional. Since the front desk is always manned 24/7, I feel comfortable leaving my luggage with them while I explore before check-in or after check-out. They also have a nice selection of food items for breakfast. Nothing fancy, but a spread that had something for everyone.

Cons:

My room was a bit worn and sad compared to the room I had last time. It was clean but worn around the edges. The tape on the bathroom shower pan had gaps where water had to be getting into the wall. It was a relatively large room with no where to sit. There was an ottoman type item but it was stained and didn't look comfy. At breakfast, the warming pan for the eggs and sausages wasn't keeping the food warm.

Struttura a due passi dalla metro Manzoni da cui si arriva dappertutto nella città eterna!
La stanza era super accogliente avendo avuto anche l'upgrade per il mio livello genius.
Lo consiglio vivamente.

Cons:

Forse l'unico difetto è che almeno nella mia stanza vicino al letto non vi erano prese per mettere un caricatore (da premettere che c'erano le porte USB).

Çalışanlar çok iyiyidi, oda boyutu yeterliydi genel olarak temizdi. Konum turistik yerlere giden metro ve otobüse 10 dakka yürüme. Terminiye yakın gibi görünsede bavullarla uzak aslında yürümek için.
