De ligging, het uitgebreide ontbijt, het comfort in de kamer

Cons:

Het ontbijt start maar om 7h30. Ik was er voor het werk en dat is toch wat laat. Het zou beter om 7h starten.

Bonne base pour faire les 5 Terre à partir du train. Hôtel sympathique chambre confortable avec équipement correct. Préférer le dernier étage côté rue (3). Petit déjeuner correct. Parking proche de l’hôtel avec grands emplacements (payant). A tenu compte de mes demandes via la messagerie Booking. Bonne recommandation pour la pizzeria proche.

Excellent 5 Terre base
Pros:

Conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of La Spezia Centrale railway station, this is a comfortable modern hotel with good service. Would stay here again.

Camere basiche. Asciugamani e Phon non adeguati ad un 4 stelle. Assenza di armadio.
Garage a 30 euro giorno, per quanto comodo e sicuro.

Modern, Trendy, Wouldn’t Stay Here Again (Just okay)
Pros:

The Poet Hotel is conveniently near the train station and is very modern (almost to a fault). Our Jr. Suite room was a good size and had a comfortable mattress (which is always a plus). Breakfast was typical fare, but get there before 10:30 because after then, the coffee was gone or cold. Hotel has no restaurant.

The room was “very” trendy-modern. However it was not well lit specifically in the bathroom; dim with a small mirror. Low counters and low counter space. Towel hooks kinda far from the shower due to the pocket-door. Couldn’t really share the bathroom. Shampoo is provided but no conditioner (also bath products’ bottles were fussy to operate). Room temperature seemed difficult to maintain and we often had to open our windows to let in cool air. The light switches lacked logic (in three days we never got the hang of them). For example lighting over the bed, was controlled by the entry, whereas the entryway light switch was just outside the bathroom. The room was “nice” but with a lot of room for improvement.

The luggage racks were low (very low 8 inches from the floor) , and crowded the entry.

One nightstand had a plug, the other an inoperable USB plug (room 106).

The staff was friendly and helpful.
