DISAPPOINTED
Pros:

Hotel was spotless with reasonable well equipped and spacious accommodation. Front of house staff were warm and friendly. Restaurant however were devoid of atmosphere, food was disappointing with scant servings. Overall very disappointed but Sorrento was charming.

Give the food a miss
Pros:

Nice hotel the rooms are very clean and housekeeping change the towels every other day. Our room was large, comfortable with a good size balcony. The hotel front of house and cleaning staff were very helpful and did a good job, cannot fault them
The main complaint we have is with the food in the hotel. The hotels statement says, and I quote: Hotel Eliseo Park's offers its guests the convenience of an internal restaurant. Our cuisine reflects the traditions of Italian gastronomy, with a particular focus on Campania cuisine. Our expert chefs prepare delicious dishes, offering a unique gastronomic journey into the heart of Italian culinary tradition. This description was totally opposite to what was served which can only be described as at the best, school dinners i.e sloppy mashed potato, pork escalope with sauce and lettuce on the same plate. A slice of pizza as a starter. Risotto 4 times in the same week (looked like porridge). No choice of dessert, it was a case of take it or leave it, one time it was a piece of melon, just cut and plonked on the plate, with no attempt to at least try to dress it.The courses are served one after another as soon as you finish the previous one! It would have been nice to have at least been offered coffee or tea at the end of the meal. The breakfast was very uninspiring and monotinus. Bread rolls , processed meat and cheese. Tinned fruit salad. The food was so bad, we ended up eating out for most of the week, incurring a cost that we had not budgeted for.

Avoid this hotel
Pros:

The hotel has no atmosphere. We were part of an escorted tour and found the hotel clean and convenient for Sorrento. Unfortunately the food was dire. The breakfast was the same all week. Tinned fruit salad, stale rolls, watery scrambled egg overseen by a rude waitress. Evening meals were just as bad. Processed food and unusual combinations. Salad on a warm plate with hot fish and powdered potatoes. On 2 occasions we paid to have meals in a local restaurant. An imposition after all ready paying for meals as part of the package.

Nice place.
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is dated but cute and clean. Still has key locks for doors - which was a bit unusual by today’s standards. Overall it was very nice. I’d stay again.

Fantastic small and friendly hotel, great value and service for money
Pros:

I have recently returned from a 1 week stay and I had an amazing time. I was so pleased that I picked the Elise’s Park’s Hotel and at a great price of £700 for a solo traveller with Jet2.
Location: 20 minute walk to Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) and a further 10 mins to the Ferry Port (Marina Piccola) for Capri. Not worth waiting around for a bus. Sant’ Agnello station is 10 mins’ walk away with regular trains to the Centre of Sorrento or to Naples (direction for Pompeii and Herculaneum) at a great price. In the other direction it is a 5 min walk to Piazzetta Marinella for panoramic or sunset photos across the bay to Sorrento. Note: the pavements are poor, and you have to frequently cross over the road to be safe!
Room: I stayed in Room 105 which was on the ground floor, had a balcony overlooking the spotlessly clean pool and sun lounger area. The bed was made every day, the towels changed, and the room was spotlessly cleaned. It was great to have a small fridge in the room (I kept water and milk in it) as I brought my own kettle and tea bags. Saying that, you could make tea/coffee using your own tea/coffee at breakfast time in the dining room. The single bed was firm, and I slept very well. The air conditioning (free) was quiet and very effective and there was no noise. The Wi-Fi was very good. There was a small safe in the room. On arrival you paid a 10 Euro deposit for the key at reception, and this was refunded on departure. Note: Along with your room key you are given a ‘blue key’ which needs to go into a wall socket to activate the electricity in your room. If the key is taken out then the sockets will not charge your electrical equipment i.e. iPad, phone, and camera battery. However, Viola charged my iPad for me in reception while I had my meal.
Staff: Viola on Reception is wonderful, speaking great English and providing information on buses, trains, ferry times etc. Nothing was too much trouble for Viloa or her colleagues on reception, the cleaners, and the staff in the dining room.
Restaurant/Food
Ivana and colleagues were amazing and so kind and helpful, always a smile. There was a good choice for Breakfast and all nice and fresh, loved the chocolate croissants. There were a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains, and I was always able to pick one that I liked and enjoyed them all (especially the cannelloni and pasta dishes). Portion size was sufficient and filling and always hot. I disagree with the previous review suggesting that the food was “processed and bought in”. Every day I could smell the food being prepped in the afternoon. One morning I overheard one guest say that she didn’t like any of the main choices when ordering for that evening and she was promptly offered the option of a cheese and tomato omelette.
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful and relaxing stay. I was very spoilt and have brought home some great memories.
Tip: Take a travel kettle and extra clothes hangers (only 4 in the wardrobe)

Pros:

What a welcome! Smiles and wonderful greetings, not just on day one but throughout our stay. We felt like part of a big family as all of the staff were very friendly. The hotel is extremely clean, what a bonus. The meals are well presented and varied. The pool area is tidy and the garden it sits in is well kept. The pool is one depth though, which created a problem for some customers. However I mention it not to be negative only for information. Our room was a balcony overlooking the pool which was lovely. Again to let future bookers know there are balcony rooms overlooking the large garden at the side. We would return to this little gem of a hotel.

Good and bad points
Pros:

Hotel was clean and staff very attentive ,but hotel has no atmosphere whatsoever..Breakfast is boring with the same thing every morning. You have to order your evening meal in the morning at breakfast..There is a choice of three..Hard luck if you don't like the choice..

Small, warm slice of Italian hospitality for a fantastic price
Pros:

We paid £699 for a weeks half board at this little gem of a hotel- in peak school holiday season (August 25), which is amazing value for an holiday in exclusive Sorrento. It did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations! Here is our honest review 🇮🇹✈️🏖️💛

Plus points:
- The rooms are spotless, cooled with air con and cleaned daily. We had a super balcony over the gardens which was relaxing and peaceful.
- Tasty typically Italian food at breakfast and a three course evening meal.
- The hotel is set back from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, perfectly placed in St Agnello to access the sea, train station and in 20 mins you can reach Sorrento on foot.
- The staff are super helpful and friendly, making you feel very welcome- they arranged scooter hire for us, always chatted to us and could not do enough to ensure we had a great holiday. Shout out to Viola and Tony on reception who were so lovely! 😊
- It is a perfect peaceful base from which to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi coast - I recommend getting the train to Naples/ Pompeii and Herculaneum and hiring a scooter for that authentic Italian experience! 👌🇮🇹🛵

Could have been better:
- Breakfast and dinner were limited times 7-8pm dinner and breakfast until 9.30am and we are night owls - it was a bit restrictive.
- The food choices are a bit basic/limited- if you’re used to an all-inclusive kind of resort.
- The beds are very firm!
- It is very quiet even in peak season…not a bad point for us at all, but depends on the sort of holiday you want. If you enjoy making friends and entertainment on tap, this is not the hotel for you. We did not see any children at the hotel and as a mother of a 10 year old I feel my child would have been bored here. (However it is perfect for a child free week of relaxation! )
Thank you Viola, Tony and co for making us feel very welcome in your beautiful little hotel - we will be recommending it to our family and friends xx

Lovely stay in Sorrento
Pros:

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel in Sorrento. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help, which made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was delicious with a nice variety to suit all tastes. Overall, a fantastic stay — we’d happily return!

Little gem
Pros:

Charming, beautifully decorated hotel, in great location.
The staff were exceptional, very friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention for Antonio on afternoon reception. The breakfasts were a little repetitive, but tasty, suggest grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and maybe hard boiled eggs to ring the changes.
Evening dinner was varied and tasty, you did have to pre order at breakfast, but that was not a problem to me.
Gardens and pool well maintained and were never over busy.
I emailed prior to my arrival requesting a room with a nice view, as previously some hotels have given me, as a solo travellers, something grim. I had a lovely room overlooking the pool, gardens and mountains.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return, should I travel to the Sorrento area.
Brilliant

Beautiful family ran hotel
Pros:

We have just spent another fantastic 11 nights at this wonderful hotel in Sant Agnello. The rooms are excellent, the food is stunning but the owner and his team are a delight. This is a great little gem of a hotel that keeps me and my family coming back year after year. There is no other place we would stay in the Sorrento area as this hotel is just perfect. Thank you Salvatore for your hospitality and thank you to all your team for making our holiday perfect.

Outstanding family-run hotel
Pros:

This is an outstanding family run hotel in Sant’ Angelo. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Sorrento, in a quieter street, making it the perfect location to explore Sorrento and neighbouring spots.

We were in a triple room which contain 2 separate bedrooms. The rooms were spotless and clear that the cleaners take pride in their job. The towels were changed regularly as with the bedsheets. The beds are a little hard but I believe this is typical Italian bed so will likely be the usual in most hotels. The aircon can be controlled in the rooms and works very well.

The breakfast has all your essentials - cereals, pastries, toast, yoghurts and hot food (scrambled egg and bacon). Breakfast is served between 7-9:30am. The dinners are a set menu which you choose in the morning at breakfast. It is served between 7-8pm. You can tell they try to cater to everyone’s need as for a picky eater I always found something to eat from it. The dinners themselves were lovely and tasty.

The hotel has a lovely pool and garden area. These were very quiet, sometimes having the place to ourselves, with no rush for a sun lounger. The pool is very cool and refreshing. There is also a pool bar for refreshments.

What made this stay so enjoyable was the staff! From the receptionist to the cleaners to the waiters. They all greet you, take time to know you and generally just very friendly. To give 2 examples we had a small issue with the aircon leaking, we informed the receptionist in the morning and told they would have a look once we went out for the day. Upon arriving back it was all resolved with no leaks. The second example is when we went to Naples for the day we where going to be late for dinner due to the train being cancelled, so we decided to give a courtesy call to the hotel to inform them. Upon arriving back at the hotel (1 hour and 30 minutes after dinner time ended) the older receptionist sat us down in the dining room and served us our full dinner! He was a real gentlemen and went above and beyond.

Overall, this is a fantastic small hotel which I would gladly return to.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel, about 25 min walk from Sorrento Train station. We got a double room with 2 balconies overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfast was good and this is right next to one of the best restaurants we visited in Italy. Staffs are all polite and helpful. Unlike other hotels we stayed in Italy, this hotel doesn’t give free coffee machine in the room. Given I drink a lot of coffee, I ducked 1 star off my rating. Otherwise good.

very kind reception
Pros:

It was a very nice place for our first stay and journey up North. They are not 24/7 hotel for reception service. However, They were kind enough to wait for us and make arrangements upon our arrival to get into our room. (Flight was delayed by a hour and half) Very nice lady at the front desk and plenty of free parking. Breakfast not so good and very limited.

Great little hotel with the loveliest staff.
Pros:

The hotel has been fantastic! We have been made welcome by all staff and we have nothing to complain about. The rooms are clean, as is the whole hotel. The food was lovely every time we ate in. The pool is refreshingly cool as it is unheated fresh water and was not busy on any of our days. The garden to the back is peaceful and has plenty of seats. The hotel is next to a little shop that sells a variety of drinks and typical Italian snacks foods, perfect for lunch. 20 minutes walk to Sorrento town or 10 minutes to Sant agnello town. Never felt unsafe either in or out of the hotel despite being 3 women on our own. The train station is 15 minute walk away and it's easy to travel from there to Pompeii or Herculaneum. 5 minutes walk to the Marianella beach. Overall a great base away from the crowds.

Touch of Class
Pros:

A beautiful, clean ornate Hotel with its own secluded swimming pool and small garden area.
It has many plus points such as a quiet position in the town and only one point of entry/exit which makes one feel more secure.
Rooms are of a good standard ,well cleaned and maintained, maids in daily, bedding changed during the week, plenty of clean towels.T.V. has many channels to suit English speaking guests as well as Europeans, each room contains a small safety strongbox, key available from reception for small refundable deposit.Rooms also have a refrigerator, but no kettle or cups,tea/coffee/sugar not provided either!
*** Drawback.....beds rock hard....no choice of pillows either!***
Dining room provides a buffet style breakfast(0700-0930),the usual Continental fayre, croissants, rolls, hams salami cheeses, yoghurts, fruit etc and also several breakfast cereals, hot scrambled eggs and a "baconny ham"(lovely)...this is on offer daily.
Evening meal(dinner) is served between 7-8pm,3 courses, which you have to choose at breakfast.Only drawback with this meal is that the courses are served one after another as soon as you finish the previous one!
Meal portions are small but tasty, mainly pasta orientated with some meals seemingly with "odd" combinations!
All the staff are extremely friendly and courteous, couldn't fault anyone as all highly trained!
The swimming pool area is well equipped with sun loungers and deckchairs,a small pool bar is open daily.
A garden area has also a smattering of deckchairs and loungers if one wants to get away from the pool area.
Whatever drinks you purchase during your stay are signed for by room number, you settle up at the end of your stay!
Hotel is also wheelchair friendly, lifts cover all 3 floors!
Would stay here again(if they changed those matresses!)
