Hotel Capri- Adult only

First 2 days were fine, we were in a nice room overlooking the swimming pool. The second night a group was being very loud in the common room on first floor until after 2am then the fire alarm went off at 5am as someone was smoking in their room. Third day they closed all amenities for a private party which was blasting music until well after midnight, no prior warning from management and all complaints fell on deaf ears. Would not recommend

I chose the best Hotel and location, Hotel Capri at Corso italia , close to everywhere, to Train.... station, bus station, restaurants , Pharmacy , gift shop everywhere ! Beautiful Boutique Hotel with reasonable price !
The buffet Breakfast unbelievable! The Manager Teresa Lauro very friendly , very helpful to all customer's needs !
Highly recommended to all travelers who plan to come to Sorrento ! Put this hotel to your bucket list ! If you join the tour , Piazza Tazzo few blocks away from this hotel , the meeting point for the tours.

Spotless excellent service

Upon arrival the hotel is gorgeous, beautiful reception and lobby. We were allocated room 121 and thats where it goes downhill. The room was small, the air conditioning didnt work properly the bathroom was disgusting and stank. We immediately went to reception to complain about our room and was told that they were sorry bit they were fully booked and no other rooms were available. The shower did not work properly the shower drain was blocked, bed sheets were marked.
The next morning we went to breakfast and although a good choice, nothing was covered , flies were on some of the food and no labels actually telling you what flavour pastries, cheese were.
The staff are rather rude and very unhelpful. There is also a lot of street noise as there is a school directly behind the hotel and a police station just down the side road.
Overall on first impression this hotel looks lovely, but in reality a great disappointment

My husband and I, along with our 2 adult daughters stayed here at the beginning of June. We had toured around Italy and Hotel Capri was by far the best hotel we stayed at. The rooms were spotless and modern. Beds were comfortable. Our room was looking towards the street and we didn’t have any issue with noise. All the staff were great and the hotel manager Teresa was phenomenal! The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel buffet! I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel appeared to be nice and up market, however it was clear after a day or two this was only superficial.

I didn't have a single good nights sleep here, since every morning the housekeepers were talking loudly and banging about in the corridors as early as 7am; on our final night they were cleaning the room next to us at 7:15! We also put our room on do not disturb every morning when we went for breakfast, however this was ignored and the maids had been in our room every single time.

There is a minibar in the room with basic items, and there was no price list so we assumed these items were complimentary. Upon checkout we were told we owe €53 "for tourist taxes", and since we didn't know what the rates were we paid the full amount. We have since reviewed how much we should have paid for 4 nights, and it should have been €32, so they have charged us an extra €21 presumably for minibar items. This means the hotel has actually broken the law set out in the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo), because article 15 states product pricing must be explicit and unambiguous, so they have committed a misleading omission (omissione ingannevole).

Based on this I wouldn't recommend staying at the hotel, I really don't appreciate people trying to unfairly squeeze extra money out of tourists.

We loved everything. Perfect hotel, perfect location, excellent staff who help with everything needed. High-class hotel. The design is meticulous in every detail and the hotel is very clean. Very good breakfast. The staff was lovely, I celebrated my birthday, they sent me champagne to the room. But that's not the reason for the good review, we simply couldn't ask for more than that.

Beautiful clean boutique style hotel. Breakfast was amazing, Teresa the hotel manager was always around and nothing too much trouble. Always pleasant, smiley and helpful.
Rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels also.
Location was fab, although on a main road so was a little noisy while by the pool but we didn't mind. Always sunbeds available, people didn't seem to reserve them. 15 mins to old town and square, lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants around.

Staff at breakfast and the night porter were excellent others not so. Breakfast choice good but not outstanding. The rooms were cramped and lacked drawer space and the shower head was not adjustable and very loose. First hotel I’ve ever stayed at that if you had a late flight didn’t offer a courtesy room. We had to get changed in the toilet. Would not recommend this hotel

Arrived at this beautiful hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful with lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Everything about the room, hotel and pool were excellent. The atmosphere and ambiance wasn’t great. The manager of thehotel was lovely and very friendly but the rest of the staff were like mice and hardly spoke. Tge restaurant for breakfast was beautiful (as was the breakfast) but it was sooo quiet, you could hear people eating! A little piped music would have made a difference. The bar was handy by the pool but the bar person wasn’t permanently there, so you would have to wait or go to reception to get them to get someone to serve drinks. The staffing of the bar wasn’t consistent either. Some staff gave you the drinks, others insisted on bringing you the drinks. Also the pool area could do with a few more of their lovely sunbeds, there were not enough for the amount of guests. I found out by chance that they served lunch! There was no menu on show or no member of staff who told us. Weird. Why did they not tell us? Also their is a beautiful bar that’s barely used, why? They could have a cocktail hour or cocktail of the day? It seems they are upselling themselves a lot. As I said the hotel is beautiful in every way but I feel they haven’t quite got their act together with lunchtime food, pool bar and the bar in the hotel. A little piped music for atmosphere would be a lovely touch. Maybe next time!

Wunderschönes, ruhiges Boutique-Hotel mit tollem Zitronengarten und Pool, verkehrstechnisch sehr nah am Bahnhof und den Supermärkten sowie Restaurants gelegen aber dennoch abseits des Trubels. Erstklassiges Frühstück mit sehr viel herzhafter und süßer Auswahl. Insbesondere die tollen Süßspeisen, die täglich frisch von Maria-Louise zubereitet werden, sind einmalig! Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und sauber. Das gesamte Personal (Teresa, Kristina, Hasan, etc) unsagbar herzlich, man fühlt sich wie zu Hause! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! Ganz lieben Dank an das gesamte Personal und insbesondere an Teresa für diesen wundervollen Aufenthalt.

Colazione ottima, albergo eccezionale nel rapporto qualità/prezzo, tra i migliori hotel della costiera, personale splendido - Direttrice Hotel colta, raffinata, preparata una grande padrona di casa.

Café da manhã farto e excelente. Quarto confortável e super completo. Funcionários prestativos e educados. Instalações do hotel muito bonitas. Impecável. Voltaria com certeza ao passar em Sorrento.

Hotel has been refurbished and reception area is very nice. However we paid extra for room overlooking garden and pool and wish we hadn’t. View was not as good as it looked on website, no privacy on very small balcony. Room was so small we struggled to accommodate us and luggage. The shower cubicle was very small, water drained away very slowly and shower head would not stay in the position you wanted it too. Even though there were 2 of us, only one mug for most of the week, 2 days with no coffee. One two occasions maids had placed my sleepwear on top of lamp and in bidet.
The breakfast was very good and staff lovely. However reception staff very unwelcoming and in spite of advising of issues with room, they had to be reminded more than once for these issues to be dealt with

Location - ideal location a 5 mins walk into the old town. 10 mins to the port.

Atmosphere - very quiet, very relaxing hotel.

Rooms - our room is small and due to the shape of the room makes it very tight for space. The plug sockets are lose and some don't work. Safe in the room could do with being modernised as it is currently an old key style safe. Bathroom showerhead kept falling out of the holding as it doesn't fit securely.
Air conditioning is very good.
Room cleaned daily with fresh towels as needed.
Comfortable bed and pillows.

Breakfast is buffet with lots of choice to meet your tastes. You can have fresh made to order pancakes, omelettes and crepes.

The staff in the hotel are very helpful and pleasant they give 100% to their job and the hotel guests. Nothing is an issue to them.

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable Centrally located. and very friendly staff - nothing was too much troublesome
