For 23 years, Hotel Santa Caterina has been far more than a place I stay — it has become a part of my life. The moment you arrive, you feel the warmth of a team who redefine hospitality. Their attention to detail is unmatched, their kindness is genuine, and their commitment to excellence is effortless.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, blending classic Amalfi charm with refined luxury. Every space feels curated, every view feels like a private masterpiece.

This hotel is not simply a holiday destination. It is an experience in pure luxury, delivered by the best staff in the world. Santa Caterina is where memories are made, restored, and cherished — and after 23 years, it still feels like coming home.

Apologies for this late review, but we stayed in April 2025 and didn't get round to writing until now :-/

In a word, this hotel is excellent. If we could give it more than 5* we would, it's that good. The hotel is simply beautiful. We are very observant, in many hotels, of minor issues like worn or stained seating or bedding etc. In a four day trip we could not once find any fault, not one! This in itself is, frankly, unbelievable.

Then you get onto the service, which is outstanding. Eating in the Glicine restaurant was an absolute joy. Having a pizza in the bar area we were treated as king and queen; breakfast ditto - I mean they even have little stools for handbags to keep them off the floor (obvs said stools are immaculately clean - always!).

Sadly the weather was not fantastic whilst we were here so didn't get to enjoy the area around the sea, but the walk through the lemon grove ... wow.

We could go on and on - but as the review title suggests this is simply the best hotel we have ever encountered. If you get the opportunity to visit Amalfi and can stay here - DO :-)

We just got back from a family trip to Hotel Santa Caterina and I'm still floating. Perched on the cliffs above Amalfi, this place is old world Italian glamour at its finest think manicured lemon groves, a private elevator down to the sea, and views that make you forget your phone exists. Everything about it screams quiet luxury. The service was impeccable without ever feeling stiff, the rooms were elegant and spotless, and the pool terrace is honestly one of the most beautiful spots I've ever had breakfast. It's clearly a favorite among a well heeled, low key crowd, the kind of place where you spot understated elegance rather than flash. Rumor has it Al Pacino is a fan too, which tracks with the whole old Hollywood meets Amalfi vibe. Perfect for families, honestly, there was space to spread out, kids were welcomed warmly, and there was enough going on (boat trips, the pool, gorgeous walks) that everyone found their own rhythm. Can't recommend it enough. Already dreaming about going back. My family and I enjoyed this trip to the Amalfi to the fullest!

Лифт прямо на пляж, правда дальше от лифта на пару этажей по лестницам. Несколько ресторанов с прекрасным традиционным итальянским меню. Есть на крыше японский ресторан. На пляже обслуживание такое, что даже дубайские премиум отели позавидуют. Вода не бутилированная, а ее приносят в графине и наливают в стакан, постоянно обновляя. Фрукты, ледяные полотенца для лица. С пляжа можно не уходить до вечера, т к и бар, и ресторан тут же. Вход в море с платформы, по лестницам. Море активное, т к постоянно проходят катера и яхты. Но на этот случай есть матрасы и нюдлс, чтобы легче было на волнах. Есть сапы. Бассейн отличный на пляже. Места хватает на платформе для всех. Есть уединенные местечки сбоку у скал, есть у бассейна. Единственное - все шезлонги расположены на одном уровне платформы. Без ярусов. Обслуживание в номерах отличное, виды на море потрясающие. Гулять по саду можно бесконечно. Тень от растений, аромат лимонов и цветов лимонного дерева. Лимоны, кстати, разрешают сорвать, если приглянулись.

Amazing hotel! Everyone from the front desk on were incredible. The restaurants were fantastic and welcoming. The room and view were priceless. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Wonderful memories!

El servicio es excelente, todos los colaboradores son muy atentos y están permanentemente trabajando para que la estadía sea inolvidable. El desayuno muy completo y con opciones para todos los gustos. Las vistas del hotel además son inmejorables

Breakfast was first rate. Had everything you would want and more. Very fresh and delicious.

Everything is totaly perfect - staff is most amazing you could imagine.

I was in the spa and walked from the waiting area, slipped on the stairs that did not have a handrail, and broke a vertebrae in my back. While the concierge was very helpful once we asked if someone could come to the hospital, management at the hotel did not care. I only heard from management after the day of the fall once I was checking out a few days later to tell me this has never happened before at the hotel. My room rate included breakfast and I could not walk easily the next day so ordered room service for breakfast, was charged for that since room service breakfast was not included (to give you an idea of how the hotel dealt with it)

Lovely old world charm. Enjoyed many dining/bar options. Take a boat excursion leaving from the Beach Club - a real treat.

We had the most amazing stay at Santa Caterina. The staff were incredibly kind and hospitable. The beach club was fabulous, there were many dining options, and the shop was also great. We are so grateful to have experienced this, and hope to return and stay again at Santa Caterina.

This was our second visit here and hopefully with more to come. It is a stunningly beautiful hotel perched on the side of a cliff. Every detail is tended to with the very finest service. Pool is gorgeous, grounds are nice and rooms/views are beyond amazing. Every single person is so friendly and happy to help, which really sets the service apart!
