Bathroom had bugs. TV did not work properly. Internet connection was poor

Pequeno almoço pouco variado. O facto da fachada se encontrar em obras retirou a vista para o Duomo.🙂‍↕️

Man bucht das Hotel wegen dem Blick auf den Dom. Leider hat man genau diesen momentan (Anfang April 2026) nicht: das Hotel ist von einem Gerüst inkl.Sichtschutz umgeben.
Als wir abends gegen 22 Uhr ins Zimmer kamen: unglaublicher Lärm vor unserem Fenster. Bauarbeiter auf dem Gerüst, die ziemlich geräuschvoll Dinge hin und her warfen. Um 23 Uhr immer noch. Auf die Frage wie lange das noch gehen soll? Bis 0:00.
Nach Beschwerde bei der Rezeption wurde es dann etwas leiser.
Insgesamt jedoch unverschämt vom Hotel um diese Uhrzeit Bauarbeiten zu beauftragen. Leider auch keinerlei Entschuldigung dafür vom Hotel.

Gegessen im Restaurant haben wir auch: dort endlich Blick auf den Dom. Wirklich schön. Das Essen war fancy angerichtet, war jedoch geschmacklich eher fad - und recht teuer im Vergleich zu sehr viel besseren Restaurants in Sorrent. Ggf. Amalfi-Preisaufschlag. Der Blick ist es jedoch trotzdem wert.

The staff was generally kind and friendly, which we appreciated. However, when we raised concerns regarding the restaurant compensation and the impact of the construction, they were not particularly helpful.

Unfortunately, the main reason we booked this hotel was for the advertised clear front-facing view of the Duomo and its steps. Although the hotel messaged us a couple of weeks before arrival to mention there would be construction and that they would offer a “gift” as compensation, they did not make clear that the construction completely blocks the entire view. Upon arrival, we found that the Duomo view was entirely obstructed by scaffolding and construction materials.

The compensation offered did not feel adequate considering that the main selling point of the room was unavailable. The “gift” was a very small bottle of limoncello and a discount to their affiliated restaurant. However, the restaurant was extremely overpriced compared to other places we visited in Amalfi, and as a vegetarian, there were almost no suitable options since the menu is overwhelmingly seafood-based. Even with the discount, it still did not feel like meaningful compensation.

There are also some visible infrastructure issues inside the room, including wall damage likely related to the ongoing construction, which affects the overall appearance.

The stay was also uncomfortable at night. While the beds themselves are a good size, the mattresses were not very comfortable, and each person is provided only one very thin pillow. In addition, the hotel can only run either heating or air conditioning for the entire building at one time, so we were unable to use AC despite the room becoming warm overnight. Since the windows are surrounded by scaffolding, we did not feel comfortable leaving them open.

The construction also adds significant noise on top of the already busy street atmosphere. Wi-Fi was also extremely slow.

As a guest at the hotel I was VERY disappointed they had not reserved places in the restaurant for Good Friday evening. Very disappointing. Give your guests priority.

Raňajky mohli byť pestrejšie, chýbala kanvica na izbe avšak v kuchyni nám dali zdarma horúcu vodu na čaj.

Las camas eran incómodas, al igual que las almohadas. Se encuentra actualmente en remodelación la fachada, lo cual fue advertido previamente, sin embargo los trabajos iniciaban a las 8 de la mañana

La struttura è in fase di rifacimento della facciata per cui è completamente rivestita da ponteggio che ostruiscono i balconi, quindi le stanza con affaccio sulla piazza sono inutili per la vista.

Sehr hellhörig, man hört trotz geschlossenem Fenster alles.
