Hotel Annalena is located right in front of the enchanting Boboli Gardens, and has its own entrance and historical plate inside the gardens. The building itself is historical, and the decor with antique wardrobes, tables, and paintings is beautiful throughout. Our room was spacious, had a bath, and stayed wonderfully warm during cold, rainy February days. A lovely balcony with garden views meant waking up to birdsong every morning. The staff at the front desk were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They lent us umbrellas on rainy days, assisted with all our requests, and stored our backpacks on checkout day free of charge.
Breakfast is standard fare, sliced cheese, salami, boiled eggs, croissants, and machine coffee, and not included despite what Booking.com states. We found eating out a better option.

Next door room toilet flush loud (am sure they would say the same of ours) but so what? The past doesn’t have mod cons.
Personnel souriant, très agréable et soucieux du bien être des clients. De bons conseils également pour les déplacements ou les visites à faire.
Le petit déjeuner manque de variété. L'insonorisation des chambres pourrait être améliorée.
El servicio de las personas y la atención fue espectacular
Otel konum olarak mükemmel bir yerde, her yere yürüyerek gittik, otel adeta bir müze gibiydi. Medici ailesine konuk olmuş gibi hissettirdi. Çalışanlar çok yardımcı oldu ve güler yüzlü davrandılar.
Odalar daha temiz olabilirdi, banyodaki çöp önceki misafirden kalan malzemeler ile doluydu.
Die Lage war sehr gut
Zimmer und Bad waren deutlich unter dem gebuchten Standard. Das Badezimmer roch muffig, und die Badewanne war stark beschädigt und abgesplittert.
Erst nach Beschwerde erhielten wir ein renoviertes Zimmer, jedoch ohne jegliche Entschädigung. Zudem fehlte dort die ursprünglich gebuchte Terrasse, und es gab überhaupt keinen Internetempfang.
Zimmer 20 ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!!
It was a historic palazzo with an amazing history and many sculptures in a very convenient location a few minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and right opposite one of the entrances to the Boboli Gardens - the gate named after the Annalena who once lived in the property. The street and local area just south of the Arno were full of artisan/craft workshops and small restaurants. It was easy to visit all the galleries, museums and churches from there.
It was shabby-chic with a faded grandeur, which made it bargain accommodation, if the facilities were not luxurious. The pensione was on the upper floors but there was no lift. One of the two receptionists we met was brusque verging on offhand; the other was friendly and helpful.
Only stairs. Beds not very comfortable and room was warm. .
I booked the room last minute and the staff were very accommodating in letting me leave my luggage early in the morning. The room itself was exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed and a lovely view with the balcony and windows which made it very light and cheerful. The location was excellent and only a 10 - 15 minute walk up to the main tourist attractions.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was smaller and more of a dorm room. My balcony looked messy and my neighbor actually took my table
The evening staff lady was not friendly at all.
Most important, the heat stopped working and I was shivering and had to layer up with my clothes. I actually got very sick. Unfortunately, there was no one I could complain to.
It's in an old building with many stairs and no elevator, which is understandable. But the instructions they give you made it difficult to enter the building when I first got there.
The shower was good. They had a tea kettle but no coffee. I actually had to go to a store to buy coffee.
I was impressed by the pictures they posted on booking.com which made me get the room and I paid good money for it. But it was a total rip off. I wanted to email this company to get my money or some money back, especially since I got sick and had to layer up since it was so cold in my room
The housekeeping? I accidentally spilled a soda on the sheets and told them. They just got all the dirty sheets and threw them in the cabinet where I stored my jackets and bag.
They say you get what you paid for, but I paid way too much to get what I got. Avoid this place.
Addendum: I received a call around 3am from the hotel. I told them I was back in the United States and it was 3am. The lady I spoke to didn't show concern for waking me up and continued to talk about how I had to delete the review. She didn't even apologize or show concern when I told her how bad the service was and that I got sick at the hotel and to dress in layers because the heat was not working at night or that the room was nothing like pics posted. She just tried to debate and offer suggestions to address the problems that could no longer be rectified. I asked her for some compensation back and she said no. Don't go here.
Great position in a charming period home
The lovely staff at Albergo Annalena could not have been nicer! We welcoming and helpful, including welcoming us back calmly when we realized we’d left our passports there after having left Firenze! Grazie Mille for a wonderful visit, comfortable and clean room. But above all a kind and sweet team! Lived our balcony and the birds in the morning. Aperol spritz and handsome man at Sufa! A lovely walk thru Boboli gardens enter across the street.

Le bruit de la ventilation de la chambre et celle de la chambre d’à coté un peu bruyante la nuit.
Läget var enastående och dekorationen väldigt fin. Madrasserna mycket bekväma och tjejen i receptionen mycket trevlig.
Det fanns ingenstans i badrummet där man kunde ställa av sina grejer. Inga extra filtar i rummet med det kunde man be om. Frukosten kostade 10€ per person men var mkt enkel.
